Hating John "The Horse" Longmire wouldn't have anything to do with the lazy 14 goals he kicked against the Demons one Sat at the MCG around '90/'91 would it? The extra sweetner for me that day i was sitting at a table at the Demons Presidential pre-game lunch - from memory the only ones clapping behind the glass that day was me, Bob Ansett and Robert Smith who were guests as well.

My favorite memory of Longmire was when he was playing at FF with Gary Pert at FB. Longmire kicked no goals for the day and it rub it in, Pert ran from the back half to attacking 55 and bombed one home himself.
