My 3 predictions are:

  1. Not 1 but 2 teams from outside the 8 will storm into the top 4 in season 2013. Carlton and Essendon (as much as it pains me to say) replacing Sydney and Collingwood
  2. The season will be the strongest in many years with a more A grade teams and more B grade teams and less C and D grade teams.
A Grade teams in 2013: Hawks, Swans, Crows, Blues, Freo, Essendon,West Coast
B Grade teams in 2013: Pies, Geelong, North Melbourne (will improve), Richmond (will improve), Brisbane Lions (will improve) St.Kilda
C Gold Coast Suns (Will improve), Port (will improve),
D Giants, Dees, Dogs
3. No coaches will be sacked in season 2013.

1. Collingwood will beat Carlton the first time they play, causing Bay 13 to go into meltdown;
2. If Carlton beat Collingwood the first time they play, Bay 13 will go into meltdown;
3. NicNat will not be the AA ruckman.

A few key injuries, hard draw, drop a few close ones, the boys lose some of their manic intensity due to premiership hangover, get belted by Richmond again... could easily happen.

If I remember correctly, you still had Goodes and some other key players miss many games, a not-that-easy draw, lost a few close games and yet still won the premiership.

The premiership hangover is possibly the only justifiable reason - winning back-to-back is bloody hard.

1. Hawks won't make the top 4 - call it hangover.
2. Pies & WCE will make top 4 and play off in GF
3. Cats will surprise by winning more games than 2012 - afterall, it will be an "odd" year.

Supplementary list:
4. Ch 7 will demote Bruce McAvaney to occasional caller.
5. North to play Geelong in 'Family Day' game
6. Fletcher to retire mid-season after niggling injuries get the better of him, and at age 42, who could blame him?

Why would Sydney drop out of the top 4?

There is no logic at all behind that.

I would like to think we wont but realistically if we lose Goodes (knee injury) and bolton (retirement) we could slide. The Goodes gap will be huge for us, he is a match winner. Often his impact is underrated due to the lofty standards he's set for himself.

Hopefully Rohan comes back firing next year, ROK is as good as he was this year and Goodes is fit for another few years.

1. Everyone will write off Geelong but they will still make the finals.
2. Jack Watts will finally show why he was #1 draft pick, whilst Melbourne continue to struggle on field and Neeld is sacked.
3. Falou will walk out on the Giants mid-season after signing an NRL contract.

4. Collingwood fans will be screaming for Buckley's head as Collingwood miss the 4 and Carlton make it.
5. AFL have to bail out Port to stop the banks putting them in receivership
6. GWS crowds to continue to remain below 10,000 despite them giving away 12,000 tickets each week.
7. After the bottom clubs get screwed over again with free agency the AFL announce it is being changed.
8. The Grand Final entertainment goes back to normal and is a shocker.

My 3 predictions are:

  1. Not 1 but 2 teams from outside the 8 will storm into the top 4 in season 2013. Carlton and Essendon (as much as it pains me to say) replacing Sydney and Collingwood
