Toast Zak Butters AFLCA Player of the Year

I saw the game where he got 40 possessions in a very wet match. Handled the ball as if it was dry, while most others were fumbling the ball.

Pound for pound, has got to be one of the most bravest to have ever played footy. Possession for posession, not many others I like to watch more. And yes, I’m a Crows supporter.

Interesing that Butters and Daicos just sneak in the top 25.

Ever since Anthony Koutafides we have heard about the 195cm midfielder being the "prototype" that were going end up taking over the AFL. That's 30 years ago now.

Turns out that is BS.

Butters, Neale, Rozee, Daicos still going ok.
Kouta was 191 cms, about the same height as Bont, Fyfe, Dangerfield, Oliver, shorter than Cripps.

This would only be interesting if it showed votes per game AVG.

Just a quick look Adelaide played top 8 teams 12 times vs Port 8, obviously helps that they weren't one.

Dawson got votes in 15 games, and didn't in 8 games. In the 8 games he didn't get votes, six of those games were against Bottom 8 teams. Dawson got up for the big games, not so much for the other games.

Yeah but according to your table, the showdown was a big game for Dawson, but a nothing game for Butters.

But if the goal umpire was right, and Adelaide beat Sydney, then the showdown becomes a big game for Butters.

Similar to the Dogs, Butters got two 10 voters against the Dogs...if they didnt collapse against WC and then they are included in your stats as a top8 team, Butters shoots up to 2nd in your table.

Bit of a petulant twat if you ask me...

This was his match highlight as he did nothing else of note last night

I remember that moment, he was gesticulating to the umpire about the set shot line and how restrictive it was- nothing to do with the girl imo. Absolute non issue

Also AFLPA Most Courageous Player award. Well done legend!!

Courageously shit the bed last night, especially in the second quarter when his team got steamrolled and courageous Zak didn't get a sniff of the ball.

Another player who goes to butter when the heat get turned up when it matters.

You sound upset. Go piss and moan to the players of they comp - they're the ones who voted him most courageous.

But full forwards were only 185cm back in that era. For that era Kouta was CHF height. He was freakishly tall for a midfielder back then.

Was also a lot of the reason they made a move in the second half though
