Zantuck to stay with Tiges

The word floating around is that Zantuck has had time to rethink his decision and he doesn't want to leave the Tiges. He always wanted to stay, but he believed his off field dramas gave his team mates the wrong idea about him. Initially, leaving the club would be a fresh start, but after talking to team mates, he realises there's no reason to leave and any reputation he had would hardly differ at any other club. Zantuck will be more than welcome back at Punt Rd. He never left for more $$$$ (like some others). He just thought that a fresh start would be better for him. If he has come to his senses, its a credit to the kid, because its gonna be an exciting road ahead at Tigerland!

I heard wallace this morning state that when he sat down with zanners to talk about his future with the club, ty was clear in his intentions to move .

Wallace said he was happy with his cander(sp?) and respected the fact that he was able to confront him, in person, outlining the reasons why he wanted to leave and without hiding behind his management to notify the club.

The interview led me to believe that it was a final decision and that would be it. Wallace certainly gave no indication that there would be a change of heart ........but then as we've seen all week, alot can happen in the space of a few hours.

It's a shame, he is a player who adds something to our team we are lacking, I think he could have thrived under Wallace.

lol dont get me wrong but it sounds like you madtiger2005 are closer to Zantuck in more ways then friends haha. Does this Mean that Ty now has to do the training he missed out on? Should be interesting to see if Miller and Wallace can make him feel good about himself and the club.

i'm glad essendon didn't get zantuck
he's too young and versatile to give up for a supposed 2nd round pick

his only drawback is his attitude which everyone knows about

we don't have many physical players in our team

give wallace a chance to get the best out of him - if he still wants out at the end of the season sobeit

don't underestimate the damage frawley did to his performances this season.

I will bet my left nut that GM deliberatly took a wrong turn . Did anybody see Millers face when they were interviewing him afterwards ? He looked as though he had won Tattslotto. It was an ordinary deal anyway .

I think Zantuck wanted to leave because he feels embarrased about missing auskick training, getting drunk, getting caught on his mobile etc. He probably feels like he let the club down. I'm sure he will forget all that next season and realise Tigerland is where he should be . It would have been good to keep Ottens and Fiora too because Wallace would have made them important players. Would have great with Simmonds also
