I think that will be very close to what they say. They'll likely have to say something though, because all of their social media is being inundated with posts linked to the accusations. They'll at least need to show the public they're aware, and that this is what they've decided to do. Outside of that, they probably won't say much else.

I don't think this is hyperbole to say, that if found guilty, this could likely be the worst incident involving an AFL footballer, in modern AFL history.

I’m really not overly familiar with the workings of our judicial system so wasn’t sure if having no charges named meant that it didn’t fall under the suspension order

Me either. I'm much more well versed with US criminal law due to being a true crime nut.

I searched alot of his hearings though and none of them listed the murder charge.

I imagine if it enters the mainstream, as I'm suspecting it will overnight, that Twitter/X will grab a hold of it - and all journos will know. Then it will be a case of 'do you have anything to say regarding the rumours circulating on social media regarding one of your players.'

Even if the order somehow remains, the information will be everywhere by tomorrow/late tonight. They'll need to give some sort of response, even if not directly naming the player in question.

I'd suggest it's pretty naive to think the journos didn't already know...
From what I know, they absolutely did/do... They just report anything about it so they haven't.
No idea what tomorrow brings, but they will most likely be just trying to avoid mentioning it if nothing changes and they aren't able to talk about it

No actual details of the individuals were revealed. What has been revealed, and you can connect the dots, is that two people were involved and that both were charged with the same charges. Two people including the player accused in this thread, were interviewed last October, in relation to a sexual assault case.

The charges include rape, sexual assault and compelling by sexual touching. These are incredibly serious charges.
