Not sure why. unless we have a bunch of speed sets with him one side and Reed the other. and as a returner. But we needed a big body or deep threat WR with Watson doing his ACL in January

He's got a bonus due at the start of April, so if we move him it will be happening in the next week

Spotrac has it as his 26 money has $26.15m guaranteed on April 1 this year.
Would be a shock if he is moved after just signing his new deal last year. Although sending players to the browns could be a good way to keep the current players for less by having them get a no trade clause to avoid being sent to places like that
It's the Kirk Cousins clause - get them on the hook earlier for future money - but imagine if that was the reason they sent you to the Browns

Lots of players have those types of guarantees baked into the contract.It's the Kirk Cousins clause - get them on the hook earlier for future money - but imagine if that was the reason they sent you to the Browns
Last week Dak had his $40m base salary fully guaranteed for 2026. Teams have them trigger 3-5 days into the league year so if they need or want to trade they can before the money hits. or to rework a deal before the trigger
Chase and Higgins will have them in the new deals, since it seems just about every big deal now has the money guaranteed a year out and injury guaranteed at signing.

Are there many vets on the market who are good enough to start and/or coach up a young QB. I know Winston is still out there, was visiting the Giants this week.
Because JJ will need every rep he can get in camp. O'Connell is a great coach and could turn him into a decent QB. So if they are going with JJ they just want a camp arm and someone who will be a backup.

No team makes sense for Rodgers. Steelers are not that good, Giants are ass and starting to rebuild so he would just keep the seat warm till the next guy gets drafted.
So it feels like Steelers for a year or 2. Otherwise he waits till after the draft and someone who missed out on the QB they wanted calls. But not sure his ego would take it as being the second option.
It's best he retired but with how cooked his brain is and who he surrounded himself with. More free time isn't a good thing for his legacy if he keeps doing podcasts and shit

- Playoff seeding determined by record and not winning your division (Det / Min)
- Illegal contact and Defensive Holding are not automatic first downs (Det)
- Playoff OT rules for the regular season (Phi)

I hate the playoff seeding determined by record and not winning division proposed rule changes. Will make divisions less important which is what is lacking from NBA.
Plus if you do away with division winners getting better seeding what's the point of doing divisions at all and playing 3 division teams twice a season not much of a point if it doesn't decide the seeding.

While you have the double up of division opponents and a massively imbalanced schedule the records arguments don't really stack up. Why not just get a committee to decide
.Its also being suggested by 2 teams that had the best records and failed to win a post season game, just win and you're all good lads.
