Nic does seem to be carrying an extra kilo or two. One wonders what sort of program he was on over the off-season. Thats if he bothers with such things.
I’ve been telling West Coast fans ever since Lycett left the club that getting Nic Nat fit would be the best improvement they could make their side.
He’s actually as good in the ruck as they say he is but only plays like 55% gametime and is almost useless outside of ruck contests and the following second effort. In other words he’s the best in the league at what he’s good at but borderline embarrassing in other ways. He’s not as complete as footballer as the other so called elite rucks. West Coast would have been better off with Nic Nat doing 75% of the game like everyone else’s number one ruck and playing Oscar Allen in there the other 25% but instead waste a spot on a second ruck who is either sh*e or not a forward’s arse. They’ve basically played with 21 because Nic Nat is a fat ***.
They won a premiership without him but the ship has sailed on Nic Nat (and that criminal should’ve spent time inside) ever winning one. Good riddance.

Nic Nat is an injury waiting to happen. He is huge. I think he is an easy 18-20 kg passed his prime playing weight. He has previously hid it well on his muscles frame. Now he has a cardi B thing going on in the rear and is round. Backing up week to week is going to be rough.

Yep, he looks great and when you know Gold Coast got him for actual free, no bid matching, nothing, it just infuriates you.
They've been helped along the way the entire time and I can't help but feel like everyone who has been paid by GC has treated the job like it's lesser than the real thing.
I WISH we could just add our academy players to our list before the draft.

Thoughts on the Rioli incident? I've watched it ten times now I reckon and you can look at it two ways - I genuinely don't know if he'll get charged for it or not. Clear free against him though.
On the eagles board someone said it obviously wasn't bad because the gold coast players didn't remonstrate with the umpire. That used to be a good pointer but welcome to 2022 guys.

Should have been a free kick to Rowell for front on contact. It was a marking contest.

I don't think he made any attempt at the ball and Rowell was the best opposition player, so he put a hit on him.
He did it again to another player later in the game too.
He was trying to be physical and he should be the one being ironed out for a month on potential to cause serious harm.

The thing is that Nic is in poor shape physically and sore all the time - so struggles to get the fitness in the drop the excess.
Will retire earlier than people expect..
Now they've changed the rules after McKay got off his bump last season I think he's in trouble.
