Yeah he was. Which was why it was such a shock he was traded. I was a little doubtful about the price but it was proved as good value.
From memory McEvoy has spoken about it, the move to Seaford caused a lot of problems and turmoil at the saints. McEvoy was a casualty of that.

Of course, it is so unlikely though.

Boak Houston and Wines are 3 massive bulls that are all stronger and bigger than our mids.

Port are in a premiership window and will be out for blood .

Fingers crossed, but can’t see how we get inside 6 goals tonight.

With Port's injuries McEvoy & Reeves could do some real damage resting forward if our service is half decent. Lewis is in the form of his life and Breust + Gunston are still bloody good footballers. Add the class of Wingard, Moore and MacDonald (early days I know) and I think we can kick a competitive score...

Mitchell, JOM, Worpel, Jai, Nash are all built big enough to handle them. It's the class we lack.

It's perplexing that those names lose the clearance battle more often than they win, isn't it? Even last week against North we were down in the centre square and just overall clearances (7-10, 20-24), and I know Jai hasn't been on the scene long, but overall it's a head-scratcher. I remain hopeful Sam and his group of assistants can fix whatever it is that's not clicking or hasn't clicked in recent times.

I reckon the first 10-15 minutes will tell the story of how things will go for us tonight. Rock up prepared and I reckon we’re in with a big chance. Im hoping to see us tackle and shade them like a pack of wild dogs. Bring the intensity… let’s f**king go boys!

Serious?
Big Boy is a warrior.
I don't know what a leader looks like if he isn't it.

Bled for the jumper more than most Hawks have in recent memory. Sure he cuts open pretty easily but BB goes in hard.

I expect wingard to spend more time in the guts now that breust is back. Ward and MacDonald should also provide that touch of class we so desperately needed.

Would like to see Worpel play a run with role on Wines or Boak seeing he's playing more of a sacrificial role these days.

The one thing Port couldn't do last week (despite dominating general play for more than half the game) was apply constant scoreboard pressure. I don't think we'll have that problem with Breust returning and there's zero chance Gunston goes at 40% in front of the big sticks two weeks running

Hopefully we can just hang around for as long as possible and make life difficult for Port Adelaide.
I've no real expectations of victory tonight, but we have a sniff given Port are missing two key forwards vs our strong back 6 while Lewis, Gunston and Breust should keep their backs busy - and if our midfield clicks who knows, but ready to accept anything bar a 10 goal flogging..!

This used to drive me nuts in Clarko's latter years. When we were off, the obvious lack of intensity in the first 10 minutes would set the tone and it was always a long afternoon. There was seemingly no coming back. I hope it's not a feature under Sam

Calling it early in the year but this is going to be one of my favourite seasons in awhile. Love having no expectation of results and a young talented playing group that seems to have great chemistry.

Sadly can’t watch the game tonight as I’m going to the rubga lea.. 🤢… leag 🤢 league 🤮 but will defo keep tabs on Kayo and see who Nash and Duke drive into the turf

Lewis in the form of his life after only one good game?……let’s just wait and see
