PIEMAN RESULTS ROUND 3 v SYDNEY
Well, we did our best to throw it away but we got there in the end ... by 11 behinds. Unfortunately behinds are worth nothing in the Pieman so we only have our 9 goals to go by. And even then one of them was kicked by the medi-sub (Wallis) so it was off limits for the Pieman.
Carryover teams and Substitutes
There were 16 carryover teams this week and their fortunes varied widely. Three of them finished in the top four while another got a blob with the same team that won him the Kelvin last week.
The carryover teams were: cecil, Charlie Bucket, cleveland, Cudi, Fossie 32, Jeff 1975, Kermit, lateniter, Mofra, SayerTheCreator, scarrgo, Sharkey66, Snarls Barkley, TedDougChris, Vinegar Mess and VL3OJ.
Two of these needed subs for Crozier. Mofra and lateniter got Anthony Scott but he didn't improve their fortunes.
So the final Pieman selections were:
The KELVIN
The gambler's fallacy did well for ScragCity who reckoned that Weightman was due. He was - and he delivered. Scrag took a 3x Cody and coasted home with a 52 point margin in the Kelvin. Fossie 32 came second with a couple of Codys of his own. In fact the first four place getters all had multiple Weightmans. Probably what you'd expect since he was the only multiple goalkicker. Last week's Kelvin winner SayerTheCreator didn't get going this week and finished with a zero. After the Lord Mayor's carriage comes the night cart.
Nobody picked five separate goalkickers this week, so no bonuses.
The PIEMAN
Big fluctuations this week. SayerTheCreator's big lead has completely evaporated, although he still hangs onto third place. ScragCity has powered to a handy 34 point lead over newcomer TiAn_ and a few others are lurking not far back in 4th to 6th place.
RandomDog who seems to get Alex Keath most weeks is disappointed that this was the week that Keathy finally chose to kick a sausage. So RandomDog is wallowing back in his customary position ... last. For that, Charlie B and Wocka are grateful.
Special note:
I discovered an error in the subs last week. I failed to give VL3OJ his sub (Naughton) so I have now fixed that and amended his Rd 2 score from 86 to 93.

With only his third goal in 74 games Alex Keath romped in with this round's PPotW award. Cody's 3 goals were no match for him.

I’m allowing anyone to join late and will generate random teams for the rounds you missed so that you aren’t starting too far behind the pack. (They can’t win you a retrospective Kelvin though.)
