Refusing to sign up and gets a punishment?

I don't think he's that great anyway, another massively overrated one down there.
Rumour going around that he has informed PAFC of his intentions to request move to Saints and is the reason he has been dropped.

Amon has grown tired of the toxic supporter culture at Port Adelaide.

Now the real pain begins.

Georgiades will be the next.

AFL Information, Trade Rumours and Results is an 'interesting' page run by an odd fellow to say the least.
It's good enough for me!

Unlucky Port. Wheels falling off

Freo's 2nd for Georgiadis?

Hmm..I could see a scenario where Port do finish low this year and get a top 6 pick, add Lemmy to their list AND have PSD leverage to get Lukoisus out of GC for not very much. No doubt they will lose a player or 2 at seasons end and get a 2nd rounder or 2 in. They could get some serious talent in all at once to go with what they have.

But then again, if ken is still there next year or they can't afford a decent back of house staff, it might not matter overly much which players they bring in

That's good to hear that a sport has solved their issue.

Interested to know who is paying the court supervisors to be there? Some stadium sports charge participants and parents/spectators an entry fee every single week (netball does, unsure on basketball).

Challenge for football is how to fix the situation. Umpires are inexperienced, don't control the game well enough which can lead to confusion or safety issues.

Ok.

What's the solution and how is it achieved? "Coaches need to be able to approach umpires during a game to complain" isn't a solution. "Need better umpires" isn't a solution unless there's plan for how this is achieved. "They should do more training" likewise.
Basketball SA pay the ref's and court supervisors. Players pay every game and (I think) all of that money goes to BSA.

One major difference I have noticed is that there is (virtually) a zero tolerance on spectators commenting on the ref's in basketball. This is then carried to the players and coaches. Any sort of abuse can be a penalty to the team, and a second offence in the same game leads to that person being escorted from the arena. It is much easier to pick out the perpetrator indoors and with much smaller crowds though. There just seems to be much more respect (during the game at least) towards officials in basketball than footy. This may be cultural or just the fact that basketball (presumably) stamped it out some time ago.

One thing I noticed when I was involved with junior footy (community level) is that there isn't enough support/coaching for umpires during games. There don't appear to be any umpire observers at the game so how can they know if the umpires are doing a good job and where they need to improve? On top of this is the fact there are so many different rules for each grade that have to be taken into account. This must make it extremely confusing for umpires to adjudicate, most who are young kids.

I cannot comment on other sports as I've never been involved with them.
