I don’t think that’s the entire issue though. Yeo for example is clearly pissed but he just can’t impact the game like he wants to. There’s definitely a few out there that are lazy but there’s also a fair few struggling with fitness and touch, some just not AFL level and the coaching doesn’t seem to allow for anything outside our best players being at 100% (which is fair to some extent). Just a perfect shitstorm of a number of issues

Serious questions really need to be asked. On paper this isn't that far off from our "best 22". There are a lot of senior plays that really need to question whether they should continue and a good number that should be sent back to the WAFL until they dominate a few games in a row.

Also, does anyone else thing the threshold for dangerous tackle as become way WAY too low. I've seen like 6 textbook perfect tackles this weekend paid as dangerous.

The players are playing like clowns for sure, but honestly, a new coach with new ideas and a new message probably will be able to get alot more out of each of these players straight away. That doesn't mean a rebuild isn't needed but I think Simmo has had his time here. Two seasons in a row of the same problems and no solutions in sight.

Taking skin folds is illegal now. Gills AFL is body positive, clubs have no right to tell players they are fat- thats abuse! Their body their choice.

I don't think that I have ever seen an AFL team that is so unfit as this club currently is.

Get to quarter time and they are cooked for the rest of the match.

That's now 0-6 in second quarters this year with a combined score of 71-188.


The entire strength and conditioning of the club needs to be cleaned out and rebuilt from scratch. What is currently on display is embarrassing and simply not fitting of what is meant to be a professional outfit.
