The sudden disappearance of lettuce from our plates is noticeable.

You know I'm not anti-lettuce.

I'm very pro-keep-my-Greek-salad-free-from-lettuce. I will defend this freedom. I will die on this fn hill.

Every lettuce is entitled to a healthy and happy life, unless of course it wants to join a Greek salad. Then it becomes my problem.

To that end the Greek navy has sent out patrol boats to intercept a boat of Albanian lettuce refugees wanting to find work as a cheap salad ingredient on the Greek islands (the tourists that buy them don't know any better).

P.S: The war against food crimes continues. We'll keep fighting... Hawaiian pizza, lettuce-filled "Greek" salad, 2 prawn risottos, Sunblest sandwiches... it's relentless; but we won't give up.

The Mrs informs me that iceberg will be retailed at $12 each tomorrow.
There are also some burger places replacing lettuce with cabbage….

Last day of my Covid lockdown and too cold to fish so I’ve been on the local buy swap sell sights and cleaned out my shed on my downtime. Sold wetsuits, a chainsaw, a couple of fishing combos and other gear just been lying around for years.
Reinvested it into new gear to lie around of curse but hey, I tried.
Had home movie day with myself yesterday, dark room, popcorn and a mineral water and rewatched Man on Fire for the 10th time. Awesome movie. Also binged Obi Wan. Okay.

I've been under the weather too but have so far tested negative to COVID, got my flu jab 3 weeks ago. NFI what ails me.

While couching around I watched "Super Pumped", a series about the early days of Uber. Not bad, not great. It's a solid 6.5/10.

I hear you on the lettuce. I have successfully re-planted the ones you buy in supermarkets with the root/base (whatever it's called) still attached.

Still, probably easier just to not eat vegetables.

It didn't!

The investors referenced were the few that went in with $50 mil and above including Sequoia Capital (Google's investment arm) which backed them to the tune of $257US mil.
