What do the actual rules say regarding testing after a head knock?
who knows.. but i’m pretty sure any AFL concussion protocol policy there is wont say… “just wipe the blood off, strap up the players head and send them back out there”..

The Jonas part I thought more so than Butters originally because the way he stayed down after the hit, and was caught in the corner of the eye temple region should have stayed off.
The fact they sent Butters back on who was immediately tackled dangerously and hit his head again for the second time within the space of 7 minutes is probably an even worse look.

Just on Richmond.

Have to say they have the ugliest style of football, just like they did during their premiership years. Scrappy, chaos ball, hit ball forward at all costs.

And so many teams emulated it after 2017. Made so many games scrappy and ugly.

Our 2017 style was just so pleasing to watch. Imagine if we'd won the GF and teams emulated that style. What could have been.

Anyway, sucked in Port.

"people get cuts they don't get concussion in a game of football" - Ken

"Don't forget they are both tough players" - also Ken
Just because they are tough doesn't mean you forget about the duty of care? Everyone watching the coverage went ooh ahhh that would have hurt upon seeing the vision. Clash of heads at full speed.

You can't say oh were just cuts.... If they get delayed symptoms and either miss next week you'd think the club would get in a bit of trouble

After this year it will be down to 3 out 3, this season is year two in their five year "dynasty".
I think it's 3 in two seasons after this year isn't it?

Ken stumbled his way through it tried to chest thump the reporter
7 cut away as the reporter started to push back, will be interesting to watch the rest later.

AFL really need to come out and let us know if all head knocks need to have the 20 minute initial concussion test, I thought this one was just looking for signs of possible concussion or if any developed during the 20 minutes. I thought if they failed that then they go on to do the full test.

More to come, AFL are going to try a shush everyone

What shits me about the SA footy media is how our media personalities treat Port with kid gloves and never call them out, but if we did anything like that the 5 minute fireman would be all over it and Rucci would be dobbing us in to the AFL.

That's it for Port, they are not making finals now.

That should be Motlop's last game. Gray has looked done all year.

It's funny, it wasn't that long ago Port were claiming Hayes was the best ruckman in the country not getting a regular game.
Good tap ruckman but once the ball hit the ground he is pretty much useless, he can't cover the ground which you need to do as a modern day ruckman which is what ROB provided consistently at his best a few years ago and in a few games this season.

Ralphy of Fox suggesting that the AFL appointed Concussion doctor at the ground saw no need to intervene, and that everyone in the media needs to watch what they say about the incident going forward.

Anything that is legitimate criticism of the AFL, especially criticism that could have legal implications for them, is not tolerated in the media landscape they control through accreditation
