The Swans may well get Dusty if he wants to go to Sydney but it won't come at the expense of Logan McDonald, IMO. They will get him a lot cheaper than that

Never say never if both teams (and potentially a third wheel such as Brisbane with McStay for example) are willing to meet at the bargaining table.

Of course it would, but it would be a conversation we'd entertain heavily I'd hope in a future 1st + win-now player for Green type of exchange.

I'd be sniffing around Keiran Briggs (Flynn might be a bit out of reach) as a possible steak knives in that exchange too if it were me.

Win-now player?

Win-now player?

An experienced top-up player that GWS feel might put them over the top to win a flag, given their list is still pretty strong top to bottom? Who that might be is anyone's guess given the fact that they're coach-less at the moment, but it's at least a possibility.

A few names spring to mind but any one of them might get (our) fans' teeth grinding a bit I suspect.

Wouldn't Green be a win-now player? The only guy we have that fit's the bill is De Goey.

He would be win-now in any other team, but GWS are still so heavily over-stuffed with high quality midfielders that they might look at it from their end as well.

I'd part with a 1st rounder for Tom Green but it would take more than that.
I think over the next two years we use 2/3/4 round picks to finish with a high first rounder and value player like Lipinski/Kreuger.

2/3/4 years time use our spare salary on free agents.

Tom Green might be a bit too difficult to prise out of GWS because he's a gun and a cult hero.

We really should have a think about coaxing Tex Walker; he's still a bloody gun in a really bad side. Crows ball movement always means he ends up have shots 45 out on the tightest angles, bit of decent delivery and he'd easily kick 50 a year with this accuracy. He's as durable as anyone in the league and looks like he still has at least 2 years left.

Would be a great stop gap for us while we eye off a long term solution. In saying that too, I don't think there's any reason we shouldn't think we can have a crack at a flag next year which he'd heavily contribute to.

I would but at the same time, the racism incident was not a good look.

Not tenable in the wake of the do better report

I'd be sniffing around Charlie Dixon. Yeh his body isn't great but Marshall could be making him redundant.

Terrible terrible suggestion. Selfish player and poor leadership.

Lol, please. If this was true, anybody that was at the club when it happened, captain included, should've been let go.

He served his sentence, he's allowed to play in the league and our aim as a club should be winning premierships, not playing PC pleasers.

I’m not saying I necessarily agree with it. I’m just telling you that the club won’t consider that move given the circumstances.

Walker would be an excellent target if it were just a footy argument. Which it isn't. Key forward is one area of the ground I'm not fussed to see a short term fix for. Provided we don't ignore the long term. A vet + a 1st rounder developing would work well.

I’d like Jack Ross from the Tigers. He gives me Lipinski vibes. He needs the right team. I think he can be the inside bull to partner Adams.

Chris Burgess kicked another 6 for Suns in VFL today.
Cheap key forward option

I saw that also. What do you think he’d cost trade wise?

I think he’s underrated.

Couldn't be more than a 2nd rounder. But who knows. Also assuming Dees need cap relief. Harmes stats aren't great but I think would be better with more responsibility. In his best season, which was a one-off, he averaged 24 disposals and 4 clearances a game. That's what you'd hope with greater responsibility.
