My recollection is waiting in the line for beer at half time and returning to my seat as the second half was beginning without a beer. Literally spent an entire 20 mins in line for beer that was not available.

Big deal, we won. Happy days.

It’s unfair to say Schache has a pea heart . I’ve seen him put his body into packs , particularly at VFL level. He’s not Libba but not many players are .

It’s his brain that’s the problem not his heart. He doesn’t believe he’s got it. He does have it, he’s not a world beater but he does have it.

I don't think anyone who runs out on an AFL field has a pea heart.

He may not be as physical as we would like but that is why he is a flanker the size of a KPP.

Would still play him as a third tall who can pitch hit in the ruck as there is no one better till Bruce is back or Darcy continues to develop, in other words this is only really an issue for this year.

I think we need to be careful worrying too much about the wet. One of the best draining grounds in Australia and tall players never get shorter.

English and Richards in for Sweet and Mc Comb then down to injuries and illness.

I hope not, this is a winter sport.

And I doubt that they could, tickets sold, contracts etc.

Im hoping Bay 1 has some cover though ;)

Bay 1 is in the right hand forward pocket at the city end (when looking at the TV, left hand side of the ground) and is out in the open. No rain forecast now for Friday but continuous rain Wed and Thursday and again Saturday onwards (Sydney forecasts change each day).

Also for anyone coming up to Sydney the trains are on a reduced timetable all week apart from Friday due to the rain (trains in Sydney don't work in the rain), then on Friday they are on strike again so only 25% of the train network will be running, something about not driving overseas built trains as they are unsafe eventhough they have driven the overseas trains all week but they are unsafe on Fridays.

So if its the same rules as last weeks strike then trains won't be running to the airport, not sure if they put buses on or just let people work out their own way from the airport.

anyone else hear the rumour that they're considering moving this game due to the state of the ground/weather?
Never will you see a Swans fan go to Homebush again- the most soulless place for footy - or for that matter, anything. SCG drains remarkably well, the dew is caused by the residual tears from 2016.

Anyone going to the pre-game NSW supporter meet at the Olympic Hotel? I'll be training in from Canberra for the game, just as I did for the GWS game (win) a couple of weeks ago. The last game I went to before that was the GWS game in Canberra last year (also win). So if we win this Friday, I expect to be included in Street-like stats where my presence = win.

Maybe not as wet as we thought only 20% chance rain Friday and 2 to 6 mls Thursday. Still probably muddy and slippery just depends on how much equipment they get on the ground to dry it out.

You’re ok for that game trend to continue for the next 5 years? 1 ok game in every 3 played?

There wouldn’t be another player in the comp that disappoints as regularly as what Schache does.

Thursday night is justification why he doesn’t get a run of games. He doesn’t deserve them.
Gardner, Hannan, Gowers, Honeychurch, O'Brien and plenty more say hello. They are just some of the players in the last few years who never deserved them and kept getting games. The only time he has looked any good is when he was given a run of games at the end of last year, down back, can intercept as he reads the play. It is what we are clearly lacking in the side, someone who can win the ball back.
