They doubled up on Gags, AFL Site has Harmes listed on wing
No problems Smiley. Appreciate the info.Inside mail on point again
Yes i miss a few but things change very quickly sometimes but the mail i deliver is what i was told by a close source at the time
Because if not Garcia then who takes that small forward spot?Buku and JOD need to play. We should be trying to develop synergy.
Buku is not really a tall anyway.
Don’t see why we play Garcia if he is not in the middle.
Treloar and Libba are on their way out. What’s the point of them having 90 per cent of the time in the middle?
Smiley Boy do you have any information on what’s going on with Aidan O’Driscoll? Looks like he was out there for the Charlie Clarke announcement but still listed as indefinite on the injury reports. Is the kid still suffering symptoms or are we just being wildly cautious with him?Inside mail on point again

Agreed. JOD isn’t much of a concession either. He’s not exactly a lumbering defender.Buku and JOD need to play. We should be trying to develop synergy.

I'll say that Gallagher unexpectedly succumbs to general soreness and has a rest for a week.Good luck picking the final 4 on the bench from that group. Probably only Macrae is definitely safe.
I think JOD might be an omission because the Hawks have one tall forward and he’s a 21 year old 5 gamer & a cooked Gunston.
I’ll run with Macrae, Daniel, Bramble & Baker. Gallagher sub.

Garcia is starting on the ground. I can’t see us playing 4 key forward talls given Hawks are missing a lot of talls as well.I'll say that Gallagher unexpectedly succumbs to general soreness and has a rest for a week.
Poulter comes in as sub. Lobb stays in and Macrae, Bramble and Garcia round it out.
Suggestions welcome. Who do you pick? He’s not a small forward.
How about playing someone who knows how to play there?
Bont goes pretty well as a forward and has been playing there just a bit lately. Libba can play the Clay Smith type of role as a forward. I would like to see Richards and Garcia in the middle again, Perhaps Bont and Libba can spend time forward this week. Would hate to see Gallagher miss out. Gallagher, Macrea, Bramble and O'Donnell in the 22 and Poulter as Sub.He’s not a small forward.

He doesn’t need to be a specialist small forward, he just needs to be better at it than the alternatives. Give me Garcia over McNeil or Arty Jones every day of the week.
And McNeil and Jones are simply not that good as small forwards even at VFL level. You don't play players because they are being developed, you play them if they have developed to AFL standardsIf McNeil or Jones are being developed as small forwards of course you play them.
You can’t just play anyone small and quick. The failed JJ and Libba experiments should show you that.
I’m not suggesting you can play anyone small and quick, I’m just saying I think Garcia is better at the small forward role than either of McNeil or Jones even if he is better again as a mid and they’re not.If McNeil or Jones are being developed as small forwards of course you play them.

On Garcia I think it’s just a case of who is best for the role this week given Wests suspension. I agree he should get more midfield time.Garcia was really good in the middle against the saints.
We are delaying his development simply because we are in capable of developing decent small forwards.
We are not winning the 2024 flag. Trying to give a role he is going to fail in is detrimental to everyone.
If we are not going to play Jones and McNeil - why have them on the list?
Personally I would try Scott. He was actually recruited as a small forward.
