Ken's 45-degree angle turkey neck ballsack-texture chin really bothers me. He needs to dip into his war chest and get a nip and tuck to fix that

Chairing off players after a loss isn’t celebrating the loss, it’s giving recognition to the player for reaching a milestone.

I don’t agree. Even if the teammates offered it, I’m surprised the captain and vice captain accepted the offer. You just led a team to another loss in a terrible year. Shake the opponents hand and get off the ground. It’s a team game. Unless they’re both retiring this week, no need to be chaired off…

I agree with this 100%. Everyone looked uncomfortable with it so why did they bother?

Not sure if this is the right thread or not but being called "a true believer" is really triggering , it makes us sound like children

It's just a line in our song , not the club's ethos

pretty simple, they want you to think it refers to the individuals currently in seats, not to the club itself

When will those running the club learn?

A club in a small market, with fewer resources can ONLY BE SUCCESSFUL by being unrelenting and uncompromising!

The very moment a 'smaller' club starts compromising to their league 'overlords' is the moment they become a pinata for the rest of the competition!

Port have never been the richest club, in the AFL we won't be the biggest club, but absolutely NOTHING stops us from being the most succesful apart from our attitude as to how to achieve that success and we are failing MISERABLY in that!

Accepting this mediocrity in relation to the pb's and Hinkley and not swinging punches all over the shop guarantees a loss!

At least if we are throwing haymakers we have a chance for a knockout, this turtling up may allow us to go the distance, but we will ALWAYS lose!

I am NOT a 'True Believer' I am not going to blindly follow, **** that shit! True Believers in the song refers to the Port Adelaide tradition, not the corporate speak.

Yep and 200 games is bloody impressive, especially given both of them had to be saddled with the co-captains disaster. Impressive they've bounced back.

Is it too cynical to think that Phillips being announced as our inaugural AFLW captain is a part of the deflection from the AFLM team's season being over? I mean, it is a great and obvious announcement. But timing...
