Kia said it would be a glorious week and to me it seems like a shitshow so far.

To be fair, even some of the media has been running with the sponsorship announcement happening this week. I think blackshadow may be on the money with the announcement being delayed until there is some clear air for the sponsor to benefit from.

Would be crazy to do a media conference announcement in the current environment as the sponsorship message would be lost - the journalists would focus entirely on asking questions re the coaching position.

The purpose of a sponsorship announcement is to maximise the exposure of the partnership between the Club and sponsor, not to have it lost in the biggest media frenzy in football.

I would do it the other way around.
Do a clarkson announcement, wait 3 to 7 days and do a sponsor one!

Don't believe any ITK people saying this, especially that one poster who has been saying it for a couple weeks now.

I want it to happen and people I know close to the situation are 'confident', but any suggestion that there's been some kind of 'verbal agreement' or anything similar is nonsense. At least, there wasn't as of a couple days ago. And certainly not weeks ago.
