I love it that Sam referred to Blanck and Jeka as “our key defenders” and DBG as “our 3rd tall intercepting defender”. Also mentioned that DBG is “coming along nicely” or words to that effect.

Seems like these are the three talls we’ll be entrusting with defensive duties for the next 5-10 years ️

It’ll be interesting to see if he has other plans for Sic, and what we’ll be doing with Kosi and Callow going forward…

Also - great news to have both MM and Long debuting!

Solid citizen. Doesn't have a weapon to still be getting games at his age at this point in the clubs rebuild.

He's too good for VFL if he stays motivated. Likely to be delisted though.

I agree with this

I always feel it’s much better to enter the preseason with a win. With hope.

And the difference one position in the draft makes in hindsight is often moot.

Would rather sing the song one last time for the year.

I always thought that. I now wonder whether we need a heavy loss to drive some real motivation over the off-season. I don't want to be left with an artificially inflated sense of where we're at after winning a few meaningless games, only to have it crushed within a few weeks of 2023 beginning!
