Pretty sure any emergency that doesn't play will fly back and play for Box Hill on Sunday.

Didn't realise the Box Hill game was on Sunday, thought they were on the same day. In that case I'm not too sure about the logic behind it... Probably a case of Ward needing to play that inside role for a full game, which wouldn't happen at AFL level at this stage.

I actually went down and watched that infamous draw against GWS at Launie with my brother and dad.

Still remember Will Langford kicking this weird scrubbing kick of a goal that bounced over the top of like three GWS players. That goal pretty much summed up Will as a player!

Also remember how good the surface looked, as lush and green as any ground Ive ever seen up close.
UTAS having played on it, is by far the best surface in the country. It’s lush carpet, it’s crazy good.

It’s the kind of surface you take one look at and the urge to pull on the boots and go have a kick is strong.

I wonder what type of grass it is, I’ve never seen anything like it before or since.

Having lived there for most of my life it is well and truly above the rest.

No idea about grass types but an interesting question

I think you’re right. But the travel is a disruption and not an ideal prep. Prefer for some of our young guys to have a clean run at it.

So a big game this week. We have it all in front of us. A real challenge to see how we stand against a team that is currently better than us.

This game will tell us a lot about the way we play how we structure up and how we approach the game. We have been a free scoring team. Their defence will test us. Can we score playing the hawthorn way. Do our systems stand up to scrutiny it will receive this week. Win the way we want to play and we will have our answer.

I will say if we win this week then we can make finals. It should be a goal. The proverbial lid will be off

It's a great surface but the lack of decent sized grandstands make it hard to play on. Skills tend to drop.
100%, tends to hail a breeze one way. Making it easier to defend with how it’s shaped too, there’s a clear open size and a clear defensive/dead side. Probably why Hawthorn has been so good there.

Stuffed in a suitcase more like it.

Wait for him to pop out of one on game day yelling, "surprise b*tch."
Can’t talk about someone’s skin colour, or their gender but we can all have a laugh over someone’s height.

This comment isn’t directed at you Juddy, but it’s a weird world we live in.

I’m sure Watto still finds all of these puns hilarious, not like he hasn’t heard them before🙄

Heavens forbid we list a players weight.
