If all of those can happen, without the long wait due to the South road works, it's an absolute no brainer. So at thebby..
With two ovals - 1 the size of the MCG and one the size of AO - thats a *ing good idea.
A massive indoor training field.
Cafe, clubroom, skate park, cafe, museum etc etc..
Pretty central location just out of the city.
Sounds pretty awesome..
I notice there is nothing about that. I assume they'll do a media round and someone surely will ask the question.Quite impressive.
The only issue is what controls the SANFL has and will they be part of our revenue generation.
Will any liquor licence be in our name ie match day sales.
Facility itself sounds good.

I hope long-term we are part of the VFL and Reserves games are curtain raisers or after AFL games. If all of those can happen, without the long wait due to the South road works, it's an absolute no brainer.
Hopefully we also push for SANFL games on our new home ground as well as all home AFLW games.
People have always voted for the dumbest shitI hope noone was dumb enough to vote for Mali based on a football clubrooms.
I voted for him because I thought he'd do better than Marshall at suppressing covid infections. Stupid me...People have always voted for the dumbest s**t
Probably 1.5km walk. Not really. Hardly any location in Adelaide is near the tram line though. For those of us without direction sense, and too lazy to google, is it on/near the tram line?
There you goI voted for him because I thought he'd do better than Marshall at suppressing covid infections. Stupid me...
That's pretty close. Used to park further from footy Park than that..Probably 1.5km walk. Not really. Hardly any location in Adelaide is near the tram line though.
Hasn't helped the Bombers though - they have one MCG sized ground and the other the same as Docklands. It's helped clubs like WC and Freo improve their records at the MCG
Nah, just a car race.I hope noone was dumb enough to vote for Mali based on a football clubrooms.
There won't be any public aftermatch there so ability to get there after a game irrelevant. For those of us without direction sense, and too lazy to google, is it on/near the tram line?

No doubt a few buses go closer than the tram.Ability to get there anytime
Agreed. I'd like that as well. But if it doesn't happen, SANFL games at our home venue would be great.I hope long-term we are part of the VFL and Reserves games are curtain raisers or after AFL games.
I would watch both games, and more efficient for the club.
Also playing against more guys they will play against in the AFL.

No doubt the SANFL will have their hands out trying to bleed us dry.Quite impressive.

You are damned either way . Negotiations for a project this complex is always going to take a long time. The club of old would stay silent officially and we would be living off the rumour mill for the next few years. I personally, prefer the new direction where we are clearly indicating to members our intentions .Seems like a reasonable plan at this stage.
However I'd have preferred the announcement to have included that we have already made all negotiations with the SANFL and the local council. Not a fan of 'this is where we are going, now to do the negotiations'.
