Dew loves him and despite some poor showings in the AFL so far, he's been developing so nicely in the 2's and seems to have really bought in.

No doubt some seagulling but also Had 11 contested possessions and 13 intercept possessions. Plus a goal.

Tbf it’s the only game he’s ever seagulled and the saints were super close to knocking the swans out the top 4 where everyone expected the swans to roll em for % and finish 2nd

Brandon Ellis is literally the only capable of taking 10+ marks on our list. We need some seagulls.

Long will be a good get. He won’t raise the ceiling of our team, but he’ll raise the floor of it. The better our guys are at from position 10-22 on the field, the more consistent we are. Good amount of games played, good age and starting to learn what he can do at the level. No brainer pickup for me. Suits better than JJ.

His kicking efficiency is above 70% and can put on good pressure. He's Nick Holman basically is Nick could kick.

He'll play half back for the suns and would most likely be a small defender for us.

I'm happy if the money is good and is about 2-3 year deal.

Long brings a bit of pace and athleticism to the back line too.

Collins, Ballard, Graham, Bowes, Ellis, Macpherson, Atkins etc.. not exactly athletic.

Weller, Powell, Budarick a bit better but will be missing for a fair bit of next year.

Seems unlikely but maybe. I suspect we were working Long all year and sussed out JJ + Heppell as back up options. Would make sense given the media made it clear we made no formal offer to those two.
