GWS currently has 36 + 7 + 2, but started the year with 36 + 6 + 2. The extra Cat A rookie was Wade Derksen, picked up in the MSD. The 2 Cat B rookies are not inside the 42 list size.

Anyway, I'll leave it there. Never wanted to raise any hackles, just saw some incorrect info I thought I could quickly fix.

HB for me and doing some shut down roles on small backs. We are deprived of guys who can do these roles. Lemmens can shut down but an awful kick. Budarick def our best but injured.

Still OK with JJ on peanuts but no to Heppell. Agree though I don't think we need any more.

I like Long. Can lose his cool on occasions but is a definite upgrade on Lemmens and MacPherson. Tough as nails too and we need a bit more aggro in the side.
Played a superb game in the last round against Sydney.

Takes a ****ing spectacular hanger too.

I'm keen to see if we can teach him to find more easy ball. If he can average 15-20 touches a game he'd be a weapon.

Long would be an "upgrade" on Leggy (I love Leggy), so i imagine that it spells trouble for Leggy, and no to JJ & Heppell. Flanders is on over $500k+, not in best 22, his AFL stats and impact was poor, VFL stats were outstanding, I get he has talent & potential but that is what also makes him a possible trade. We need extra cap space in 2024+ for Rowell, Anderson plus space to get big fish.

Yep, same as Fiorini. Hence the situation of trading them out so:

They can play in the 1s somewhere else consistently
Creates cap space (increases to Rowell & Ando + space for a big fish on 23/24)
Increases draft capital

is a great recruit for your list profile: a true utility who can play forward or back. I think his best position is at half back, he has great run, physicality and could be an elite intercept defender (great mark).

I think the saints will attempt to swap draft picks (say swap a 2023 4th for 2023 2nd).

If you find time, have a look at his suspension history and the amount of blokes he has knocked out. I wouldn't say he is dirty, just is a physical player and knows how to deliver a great bump
