It suited Geelong to receive two first rounders and two second rounders to trade homesick star Tim Kelly home for family reasons....

Surely West Coast can expect a second rounder for their star.
Completely misses the interest of our club in this matter.
Because they have gone and poached a very good though problematic and inconsistent player who nonetheless we wanted to keep, they should get him for free.
This logic upsets me - it is like that of the thief - because I was able to break into your house it was ok for me to rob you blind.
This is not intelligent commentary.
It is simple, pure, unadulterated, anti West Coast bias.
They still cannot deal with the fact that West Coast was the first non Victorian team to take their cup from them.

Why did West Coast say they were 'bitterly' disappointed about Rioli... at least 2 other clubs have released statements that they are 'disappointed' but it is the bitterness that is the issue. And as I am channeling Damo I can confirm I'm not bitter about anything and my column certainly has no bias based on what I am bitter about...

27 (31-32 come draft night) is about right for me. Frederick would be a nice project piece to top of it, give him a couple of years to develop and see if we can find a place for him in the team to use his speed, something we desperately need.

Pass on Frederick. We have enough dead wood on our list to chop over the next few years, no point adding another. The kid has been on a list for four years, can anyone honestly say he will improve on what he's already produced? Besides Port supporters will probably think they can stick us with this kid and a third for Junior or worse and a straight swap. No thanks.
