Swear he played several games this year

Edit: 6 games and he’s only in his 2nd year

Oops, my bad. Got the info off draftguru and they’d added 2023 already for some reason.

It’s his fourth year though, he didn’t debut until his third season on their list.

Lol ******* family reasons

I’m getting pretty annoyed at that narrative tbh.
What's your thoughts on the other great 'reason to leave'; the 'mental health' thing?

While I am sure there are real family and mental health situations, it really seems like they are trotted out to an extraordinary degree.

It's like all these people suddenly unable to work because they have have PTSD. Saw someone in the office bleeding from a paper cut and it's PTSD time.

The reasons to move aren't the issue.
Pressume them all true.
He wants to go for family, better money and his own mental health.
Ok cool.

He should have gone to the club. Advised them of his situation.
Advised he was looking to leave at the end of the year to SA
Should have told the club he was going for the medical at port.
Should have shut his mouth when traveling through the airport.

He did none of those things.
He and his manager are as much to blame as each other.

TLDR: it's not what he did but the way he did it.

I’ll probably leave that one alone.

Mental health is a slippery slope

They had RSI then bad backs now its mental health. Its the best thing, you can have time off and do what ever you want because its good for your mental health.

"But Hagdorn has accused Lyon – who was sacked by the Dockers in 2019 – of comments in poor taste.

Hagdorn believes Lyon ran a “dictatorship” in his eight years at Fremantle and went the other way to West Coast in not providing enough support to numerous players.

“Ross Lyon brought in Jesse Hogan, Shane Kersten, Cam McCarthy, Harley Bennell. Where was the network around them? They’re his products, and some of them are still suffering emotionally from their time under Ross Lyon’s administration,” Hagdorn told SEN WA’s Drive.

All four of those recruits would fail to display their best footy at Fremantle. Kersten was reported to have endured a broken relationship with Lyon, while Hogan would manage just two seasons at the club after costing Fremantle plenty in an original trade with Melbourne.

Meanwhile, McCarthy played 49 games for the club before retiring, while Bennell played just two for the club after both were high profile recruits.

“It’s about welfare, it’s about the network that Ross Lyon is accusing West Coast of not doing enough. Ross Lyon is there having plenty to say about (what) West Coast did or didn’t do for Willie Rioli, what did Fremantle do to get more out of Hogan, McCarthy, Kersten, Bennell? (I) can keep naming them,” Hagdorn continued.

“He makes the calls, particularly at Fremantle because he was such a dictator, a lot of other coaches with good football managers, good welfare managers, good list managers, they have a better co-operation, Fremantle didn’t have that, it was a dictatorship.”
Kim is actually right on this. Ross has no moral high ground to sit there and pot shot West Coast
