The Quarterly mentioned he’s considering Crows Port and Carlton. But unless we hear it from our ITK posters it’s probably just speculation. Could be the Tigers trying to free up some space for Hopper and Taranto.

Their game plan is going to change way more than I originally thought if Graham leaves.
Don’t get losing Graham on say 500k x 4 years and bringing in Hopper/Taranto on 750k x 7 years each
Graham has a massive tank, just runs and runs up and back all day long. He’s definitely a big part of the helter skelter way they play.

Exactly what we need.

Graham's a mid, nothing more, nothing less.

Good tackler for sure but is he getting a game ahead of our top 5 mids?

Not imo.

That’s exactly what I was wondering. From the sound of it the potential new additions to the Tigers midfield may push him out to a HFF so he wants more midfield time - I don’t think he’d get any more time with us.
That said I’d love his two-way running and tackling pressure in our team, I just doubt he’d get the midfield time he’d want.

Our top 5 midfielders may need support unexpectedly, should one or two be struck with injuries.
As 2022 season end, consequently we missed finals.
A solid midfielder with the right qualities is always a useful utility in any team never superfluous.

Direct competition for Fisher's spot, I'd think. Start on the forward flank and push up the ground as a link-up option. Not an identical player, but that's where we'd probably play him if we picked him up.

Byrne is just the type of player we need. Hard at it, with speed and a competitive beast. He would take time to get up to speed but he’d come back as an international rookie so would sit outside of our list and be a free hit.

Yup, 100% agree. Great idea to give him a call and see where he's at.

Replaces the loss of Williamson, and could quickly give our defence an extra edge. I was suggesting we grab Johannison if he's available, but Byrne would bring exactly the same if fit.

Would be great to get him back. Sounds like he'll likely stay in Ireland but if he committed to giving AFL one last crack for 3 - 4 years, get paid way better and hopefully snag a flag.

No interest in Graham now since we have acquired Hewitt and Cerra and Chugga has stepped up. Would make us much much slower in the middle

Richmond would likely ask a first for him.

You could see port Adelaide going all in on him tho

The very best sides have many versatile midfield options. We clearly need more depth there, we were very exposed when injuries hit mid year.

Hi.

My name is ferris and I am a BigFootyaholic.

It's been a moment ago since my last post...
Why is it the first thing you do at alcoholics anonymous is tell everyone your name?

Please tell me its D Robertson from the Lions and that we are into him.
Robertson is not a bad footballer. Unfortunately he's got no pace and isn't that good a kick. So he's automatically behind Cripps and Kennedy and looking to play the same role. Personally I'd rate him as about the same as late season Setterfield.

For all those playing at home who would suggest that we should look to use draft capital and salary cap on prospective recruits our current depth chart is:

Inside Mids - Cripps (Start), Kennedy (Start) Setterfield,

Defensive Ball Winners - Hewitt (Start) Docherty (Back Up) Ed Curnow

Outside Running Mids - Walsh (Start), Cerra (Start), Dow, Cuningham

Up and Coming - Carroll, Philp, Kemp

There could be some changes with Setterfield and Dow .

For mine we are pretty well set for midfielders. Maybe pick 10 might be a game changer hybrid midfielder/half forward but apart from the bargain of a life time I couldn't see us investing in a midfielder.
