Was Matthew Armstrong number 14? He would have played in a flag if Pagan didn't drop him. Not the number's fault
He certainly was. He wore 14 at Fitzroy too.

alternatively you could argue its due?
This is gamblers fallacy.

It is irrelevant why the number hasn't played in a flag, if anything this adds to the idea that the number should just be arseholed.

Ultimately I am not that invested in the idea of canning the number. However when you look at Marsterminds post about it, given its history I don't think we lose anything by not running it.

First time I've seen Cooper, and he's got some attributes, likes a tackle, good hands, nice mark just now on a hard lead; on the downside, his kicking is (to be gentle) inconsistent. I love the romance, but the hard calculation is I wouldn't like us to be paying too much, and even more cynically, I don't think we'll need to match a bid higher than mid 3rd round

Cooper Harvey really plays nothing at all like his dad. Overhead marking and tackling looked the best parts of his game with kicking and accumulation not really his thing.

I could see him playing a defensive forward role like soon to be premiership star Ryan Clarke.

Cooper Harvey (Vic Metro)

Forward, Northern Knights, North Melbourne father-son

H: 180cm, W: 79kg

Rating: 7/10

Draft Range: 40-70

Clubs who would suit: North Melbourne

A strong back end of the year has seen the son-of-a-gun emerge and he only further boosted his hopes with an impressive first outing for Vic Metro. Harvey suffered two arm injuries during the middle part of the year, but finished the NAB League season in fine form for the Knights to be added to the Vic Metro squad for the final game of the national championships. After a slow start, Harvey finished with 14 disposals, five marks and a game-sealing goal in the final quarter at Marvel Stadium. He presented well as a small forward, took a couple of nice marks and showed a willingness to pressure and tackle. Harvey had good bloodlines as the son of AFL games record holder Brent Harvey and is eligible to join the Kangaroos under father-son rules.
