It’s what is being mooted in the media so yes.

To everyone saying we are getting Grundy and 2 first, that isn’t true.

We are getting Grundy and 1 first (likely in 2023) after we trade a first away for Grundy.
What I’m hearing is that we’ll be trading two firsts and a second for Grundy and a future first in return.

Injury prone Grundy will hopefully break even and offset Jackson and cost 1 of the first rounders.

Other first rounder will likely be in 2023. Unsure how those picks will help us improve our list for next year.

Our forwardline is atrocious, relying on 2nd or 3rd rounders to draft some inexperienced kids this year isn’t going to help us while we are in our window.

Holy shit calm the **** down, you're melting over a trade that hasn't even happened yet.

Yeah it would be bad if we gave up a first for Grundy but there's no evidence to suggest that we're gonna do that.

As for the KPF thing, We're probably looking for one but there are no ready made KPF on the market right now , except Dan Mcstay (who isn't even that good) and Jack Gunston who's already been in Brisbane's books for a while now anyway.

Just calm down, the trade period hasn't even started yet. There's nothing worth melting about (yet lol)

Imagine our 2013 selves reading this thread 😂

if we give up a first for a 29 yr old that hasn't played good footy for 2 years then the club has a lot to answer for and i'll go full danster in 2023

Yep 3 years is complete overs, he will get more game time at gws
Yes he will get more play time.

It really is an interesting position for Melbourne.

They have quite a few small half forward types which includes other players that are not getting a great run at it. Laurie and Chandler for example. At the same time Pickett will be out of contract next year so the question of him leaving or not...

That all said a Key Position Forward is vastly more important to the balance of the team.

Can we pick up Adem Yze as a free agent? The bloke must be breathing fire and ready to crack skulls after the way he’s been played by Essendon… what a disgraceful football club

IMO the Grundy deal will end up similar to the BB deal as the circumstances are quite similar. Similar age at the time, similar circumstances with the trade being club driven not player driven (lessens his value), both coming off injury concerns, both had big contracts. I’d be genuinely shocked if we gave up a first for a salary dump, especially if Bowes moves first which should set the precedent to what expect for a salary dump.

As for KPF I’m happy we aren’t throwing big dollars at list cloggers like McStay. Gun KPF are so rare that no club will be looking to shop or entertain offers for them. Our attention should be on doing everything we can to grab Cadman in the upper end of the draft.

With Hunt to WCE - poor bloke is the only senior player on the list for the past 2 years (I think, not including Daw and Rosman who didn't play seniors) without a medal of some sort, and he guarantees that he'll finish his career without one as it'll take 5 years + for West Coast to obliterate their list and start again.
