It's gonna be a 3rd round pick probably, so 42 plus academy and s**t probably 46ish
Outrageous. He was picked up at 57 we’ve put about 10 years development into him. He would’ve played in our premiership side. He has to be worth a top 30 pick or else.

is that based on the salary he's offered? I forget the rules and stuff. For some reason, I thought we got nothing for him?
No we still get compo as UFA. DFA is no compo.

It’ll probably be a third rounder as compo though - maybe end of second if we are lucky.

Yea pretty hard to stomach that, cant we re-sign him and trade him for more instead? Thats what a competent team would do.
Genuinely worried about the direction of this club. Even Damian Barrett says there’s no reason to think we’ll be any better in 2023. Meanwhile, Port are getting Jack Graham in to bolster their midfield. It wouldn’t surprise me if we’re bottom 6 in 2023 the way this trade period is going.

Ill give them the benefit of the doubt for now, but there better be reports of us being linked to a few players other than Grundy soon.

You know what mate I've never heard such a well reasoned argument. If we don't get a second rounder atleast I'm email the ****ing club myself you don't let 10 year legends leave cheap

Think it might come down to whether we put an offer to Hunt. if we were basically on the verge of delisting him anyway I don't see how we get much of anything for him.

We need to match their offer and force a trade. Eagles have pick 28 & 29. We should be targeting one if not both of those.

If we're not asking for both of those then what are we trying to achieve? Are we just happy with one flag? **** Melbourne honestly

Any chance we could bring Dodorro on board. That guy knows how to get things done in trade week.

if we trade a first for Grundy you cant deny it would be devastating.
Surely we're not that stoopid? Have to find a way into the Top 10, preferably top 5 for Jackson. No idea how, but I'd be disappointed if we don't find a way. But yeah, giving up a 1st for Grundy would be madness from the club. Our 2nd rounder for a player they want off the books seems fair. He's barely touched a footy in 12 months and hardly been a world beater for a few years now.

I'd be happy if Hunt just donated his headband to the club and got tf out tbh. I lol'd at there being interest from multiple clubs. Besides, there's just not enough cap space to keep Oskar Baker and Hunt. One had to go..

Pearce and Corr would also be on my radar. Although I don’t want to overload our list with homophones. Definitely should be into Cockatoo and I’d get in Coniglio’s ear as coniglio = rabbit in Italian. We also need to make Chol a godfather offer as onomatopoeia is a huge hole on our list.
I was wondering whether we might have issues of team balance with that many homophones. I am in favour of Coniglio as a food-based noun. I’m wondering if it might be worth approaching Dangerfield as he would bring two nouns which creates space for another depth adjective

Oh, you came to the Melbourne board to get inside word about whether one of our players was coming to your club, huh?

Bad call. The info you need is here.

Quite often I've been surprised with some of the trades we've made in the past. We may not be very active during the trade period but you never know what the club has in mind and what trades could happen.

Addam Maric comes to mind when I hear that but there has been plenty others. It's funny our fringe players 10 years ago needed 'washing' but now winning the premiership our fringe players are good, at the end of the day fringe players are just fringe players with some exceptions.
I don’t know why I understood this post, but I kind of did
