The latest is that in round 1 2023 at the opening bounce we will have Nank, Cotch, Prestia and Taranto in the guts, after we kick the opening goal in record time the next centre bounce will see Nank, Dusty, Bolton and Hopper in there with Macca and Pickett scouting the wings

And strolling down to the forward line will be Jack and Tom followed by Dusty and Bolts with MRJ and Cumbers making up the six.

And going down back will be Taz, Balta, Broady, Grimes with Rioli and Flossy joining them.

Jesus Christ have i missed anyone, Bakes, Shorty, Graham, Gibbo, Miller, Ralphsmith, George, Ross, Sonsie, Mansell, Clarke, Stack. * find a 5 man bench out of that.
umm where Nick Daicos, O'halloran, RCD and bowes, plus the player we draft with Pick 7? Mr Magic is probably having a conniption right now seeing these guys left out

When was the last time a trade happen, that came out of nowhere? Similiar to Sam Mitchell > West Coast.

Or at least our way, Josh Caddy. It seems the media are all over trades that will happen. It looks as if we will throw everything to GWS for Hopper and that will be it for us.

The pressure will be on both of their kicking/decision making! Hoping we can use Hopper to his strengths by feeding the ball out to a Cotchin/Prestia or Martin.

In fact, I would actually like to see the starting midfield next year of Hopper, Taranto and Prestia, with Cotchin and Dusty rotating in immediately.

I believe the biggest player these trades will impact will actually be Bolton. He has free reign!

Toby Greene being mentioned on trade rumours now. One player that I would have loved to see in a Richmond jumper. Sadly it will never be.

Hinkley has a mountain of work to do to bring that list back together after this trade period.

Well according to groupie Stack plays ahead of Rioli and according to Magic the team should be built around RCD, so on that note both should probably be delisted.

On those guys as our brains trust we can't go wrong can we?

I would like to see Stack stay, if the club reckons his head can be in the right place. If not then goodbye :disrelieved:

RCD I'd like to get another year. But I'm not that caught up, except that his end to 2022 was fantastic. If he can translate that to be his standard then we have a player.

The Ralphsmith news broke BigFooty.
Didn't Cleary literally mention he was one of the first ones they asked for but was shut down immediatly? So like probably weeks ago.

That said if you could keep 31 then id be open to adding Hugo. Looking at that best 22 and depth chart I can see how pretty quickly Hugo could see himself on the outer at Punt Road

Yeah looks like, who knew people were so passionate about HRS. :D

I thought for sure the Hopper deal had gone through and everyone was either celebrating or melting. Lol

I am very glad we quickly said no on HRS though.

GWS and Kingsley asked for Ralphsmith instead of Soldo and Richmond declined very quickly.

That’s interesting. Ralphsmith a phenomenal athlete but could not hit the side of barn with his kicking.

Why did they hyphenate Ralphsmith's name on the news headline haha...

Anyway, if we could get Crouch for nothing I'd still do it. I know people's opinion, so no need to shoot it down too hard.

Let's look at our 2023 team, with the mindset that we think we're contending for the flag.

Version 1

Grimes Tarrant Broad
Vlastuin Balta Baker
McIntosh Cotchin Pickett
Martin Riewoldt Bolton
Cumberland Lynch MRJ
Nankervis Prestia Taranto
Miller Rioli Graham Hopper

Version 2 (with Cotchin injured or too slow, Prestia injured as often is)

Grimes Tarrant Broad
Vlastuin Balta Baker
McIntosh Ross Pickett
Martin Riewoldt Bolton
Cumberland Lynch MRJ
Nankervis Short Taranto
Miller Rioli Graham Hopper

The version 2 scenario will likely crop up more often than we'd like, and that's not considering any other injuries we may get.

If version 3 had Crouch (a guy capable of 35 touches at AFL level) rather than Ross or Short, then on paper that side is looking a lot better.

I'd do it if it costs us nothing, the midfield will be amazing.

Yeh complete non-story said richmond aren't interested and it won't happen but still tweets ralphsmith is a target

He’s a reasonable kick when he settles just struggles a bit when going full tilt

Most players struggle with that. He just needs more games to build the maturity to know when to slow down for those last couple of steps before he kicks it

Bit like the Toby Greene one the night before. Hasn't asked for a trade, is probably upset Taranto and Hopper are going. Nothing story
