Butters will be more value to Port in 2023 than JHF would be, so I don't see how trading him out and bringing in JHF is about Port chasing a flag next year.

Even if they don't trade out Butters there's no way that JHF is going to be the difference between them and a flag in 2023.
PP is more a like for like with JHF.
Not classy like butters but a no nonsense straight runner might help North build standards into a young squad. Ben Keays did this for us. He's now getting passed by more skilled players but his unswerving commitment and effort was mighty to our whole squad.

PP might get some traction from north compared to Bonner.

I'm not sure PP age. This would matter.

I think this might be lazy journalism. Both played for different junior teams
Their father Shannon was drafted by North Melbourne but never played a senior game..Luckily Jamo never headed over hey.

And people complain about Hamish's strike rate...;) Capture.PNG

I love how the Port supporters expect opposition clubs to just hand them what they want without paying overs for it.

According to their board, trades are meant to be about Port coming away far stronger than they started. I'm pretty sure every team would love for it to work that way, but it doesn't.

At this point I really hope both North and WCE hold firm and Port are forced to give up someone decent to get the deal done.
I have no problems when a team has leverage to use it, but with JHF they have none.

Imagine being Dunkley. Was supposed to get to essendon and they could not seal the deal, then supposed to get to brisbane and ?
If he want to live in Queensland to be with his partner, why are GC not going hard?

Port wont get Rioli and JHF. They have to pick one or the other. If they were smart, they'd go for Rioli now and JHF next year when out of contract.

North should just back themselves in with their new coach and system to keep him. However, North dug themselves a massive hole. They didn't even speak to the kid, never groomed him for being at North which they should have been doing for Months (speaking once or twice in the week before the draft doesn't count.) They just arrogantly selected JHF at pick one to the least supported club Australia wide who also happen to be the club that offers the least to the competition and is performing the worst. You could see in his face when drafted he didn't want to go, Blight didn't want to be there to give him the jumper. It was the worst PR management exhibition you could see. Terrible on every level. But they turned down a sell the farm offer for him by the Crows, so now they have to back themselves in. If they trade him now, they basically tell the world they have no idea.

Not related.

Just have the same surname.
Maybe North can convince Chris Davies they are related.

I knows it not going to happen but acceptance wise from north would they accept?
2023F1, 2023F2, ROB, Keays -Gollant if they wanted him on top
