Strange that supporters of both those clubs have changed their tune on the quality of our recruiting since Geelong and Collingwood were told "I like your small club but get me to Richmond."

Let's not forget Jack Ross. A breakout midfield year by this guy, gets Dusty primarily a roving forward role for 50+ sausages. Poo in the pants of any AFL person who is oppo defense.
Yeah he is starting to look like he belongs which is good, the arrival of the two GWS boys and young players like Ross and Sonsie will allow Short and Baker to go back to running from defense again, we are looking very good for a push at the flag again next year.

He will have to improve, that's the beauty of having a strong top 22 and some reasonable depth as well, the ones that don't have the intestinal fortitude to step up and fight for their spot (hi CCJ) will either be delisted or request to leave for a spot at a club where they can get a game more easily, the ones that stick it out and fight for their place will enjoy what should be a successful time at Richmond, no reason we cant emulate the Cats and stay around the top 4 for quite a while to come.
