“After every meeting, you’re ready to jump through a brick wall for him” - LDU on Clarko
How's this going to translate onfield? I feel like we're coming from so far back, we're going to have to keep expectations contained. But it's very hard not to get excited about the dramatic change that's happened.

It's been a shit 3 years. Anyone who has played through and endured that period is likely to respond really well to the change in environment and hopefully are fully behind that change and ensuring standards/behaviours don't revert back to what they were.

The just love drama to gossip about, it's more their job these days then actually reporting on the footy.
Exactly. It's not that they know more, it's that they are invested in keeping the story going for as long as possible for clicks.

Pretty grim reading……do the journos know more than us re the hawthorn racism probe?
Have you ever known a journo not to embrace hyperbole? All they give a sh*t about is what story will generate the most content for them. I think, as we all know, most of the industry knows there's not much to the Hawthorn racism probe but they'll drag it out for as long as they can generate content. How the umpire leaks / Brownlow betting isn't a bigger story is beyond me… oh that's right don't want to upset all the betting sponsors, better keep that on the down low.

You are spot on. 100%

How many of these journos were convinced that Clarko was 100% joining Essendon as their new coach. Hard to take most of them seriously after that.
They'll always cheerlead the better story for themselves.

Clarko to * was always a bigger story. Now Clarko getting suspended would be a bigger story than him actually coaching North.

The thought of the points scored by getting their virtue signal on would be arousing.

They know precisely diddlysquat.

Bit like the LDU story that was run today. No question very positive news for North? No way to spin it the other way? Nope. Now Buckets is a free agent and we haven't got that deal done yet. With us finishing last again and the compo we'll get from McKay leaving, we'll have a great draft hand next year.

The negative North narrative is real. Of course Clarkson is cooked.

Won't buckets compo be a late second or am I a bit optimistic with that expectation?

Spot on - how about Robbo passively outing someone and drumming up the suspense? Sure he'll preach understanding, acceptance and respect, yet he's salivating to hit the submit button on something he's no doubt drafted up for which is none of anyone's business. What a grub.

I'd be one of the most pessimistic on here and even I'm surprised by the number of pundits predicting us for the spoon. 17th at worst, 14th at best I reckon
