Imagine thinking Tyler Brown is an automatic fail. We could do a lot worse than giving him a go.

Some people just love to cut people down at the knees.
I don't mind us giving him a go, I hope we give multiple players a go, IIRC we don't have to make a decision until February 15th

It's just concerning we are (as of now) only looking at 1 player and he isn't even a KPP

Whats wrong with our list management, why do we keep picking so called midfielders so late in the draft and rookie picks.
There's no chance at all of getting a go with our current midfield, you don't need 15 midfielders on your list.
We are so bereft of big guys, lets try having a go at this type of player.

Well for a couple of years there we seemed to draft nothing but skinny half backs, so now we’re drafting slow inside mids… Looks like we’re slowly working our way down the field, we should get to KPPs in about..let’s see now..ooh 20 years I think…

i think there's a point where pre-draft videos become absolutely meaningless.
Might be a good idea to check out the video I was referring to before jumping in bud.

That was Himmelberg's 2022 AFL highlights...rather impressive hey. If he could bring that on a much more consistent basis he'd be a serious footballer.

Hes too good not to be in team. Not good enough to be in team. I like the idea of trying him down back although given hes our most accurate shot at goal might question this logic. Cant see him getting a spot unless its at CHB. Definitely would give better team balance with some real height in defence and more backup for ROB than just RT.

This is a good question. Feels like we've been in the dark for 12 months now regarding what's going on with Seed.

I think the last that was written late last year was they were still monitoring his concussion symptoms.
I don’t want to cause any trouble, but I heard a rumour that there are other medical factors at play here which have nothing to do with concussion.

I don't think that's trouble - I doubt there is a single poster who thinks that Seed will be able to (or even should) play AFL footy ever again - a complete shame but that's physical sport, I guess

Fog might have something to say about that!

A tall mid who hasn’t cut it over a KPD when we have zero and I mean zero depth. Borlase, a rookie who hasn’t played a game and that’s it.

Furthermore sounds like Borlase isn't going to make it so really we have zero depth at the position.

In before we blow this years first rounder on a KPD again...

* we are idiots some times.

Some... that's a gross understatement

My left field suggestion is to play Himmelberg on the wing. Good tank, good ball user, seems to be a smooth mover, hard to stop at his height against other wings, loves to receive the ball and distribute forward
I’m actually happy if Himmelberg and TT could develop into our ruck/ forwards and ROB can go on the speaking circuit with Peterson

Still a long way to go before that’s our best option but I can see it happening at some point if TT/ Himmelberg continue to improve in ruck and ROB has consistency issues

The best thing to do is pay him out and free up a spot. We need a KPD backup if Butts or Murray go down.

If he hasnt returned for preseason training its safe to assume hes finished. But it hasnt been confirmed anywhere, and there has been reports of him training with team mates.

So, who knows.
