What's it been, six goals to none this second half?

We weren't 5 percent better.
In a momentum game it's no surprise we dropped off at the exact moment the players realised the clear disadvantage they were working with

Hopefully the club is looking hard at this finals series to work out which of our players are not up to it. It's not like North are going to get any worse in the coming seasons and Brisbane have had the wood on us since day dot. We need to improve.

Mueller, Kustermann, Levy, I'm sorry. Just not up to it when it really count. Martin, Ballard, Munyard and Tonon, on thin ice.

The umpires don't make you drop uncontested marks in the defensive 50. It's just too neat an excuse that we always fall back on.

They get into finals, they don't execute in the big moments, that's the reason the premierships have dried up.

Thompson is another on thin ice, although wouldn't be first on my list to replace. Then there's Ponter and Hatchard needing to lift and get back to their best.

Also, as much as I've loved Jess Allan's season, I can't even remember the last time she marked the ball. Seems to spill it every time.

In terms of umpiring vs our own bad play, I don't see why it needs to be one or the other.

The umpiring was atrocious today, as it always is up in Brisbane, and it cost us serious momentum and gifted Brisbane goals they didn't deserve.

We also didn't play well enough in the second half to win.

Why do we need to play the perfect game but our opponents don't?

- Clarke should take the financial hit in the press confrence and unload

dont give a **** if it looks like whinging, that was blatant bullshit

any Lion who doesn't agree is a ****ing flog

Not that Clarke would ever do that, but if he was going to do it, he should save it for a match we lose by a goal or so, not several goals. Then you just look like you're whinging and people disregard it.

One of the umpires is a Brisbane Lions member.
If true, that needs to be called out.

We weren't good enough to win in the end (I turned it back on after HT which was a huge mistake), but no way should that be allowed.

Like the last 3 times we've played them

Commentators talking about Crows forwards being caught out of position. Nope. They are doing exactly what they are told to do. It’s the game plan. Clarke needs to be willing to adjust it between this year and next
Or at least adjust it when Playing Brisbane and North because they have us figured out

I had to laugh at the commentary after the HTB was paid against Munyard.

"Oh, it looked like Munyard was just going to run all the way into goal! (Really? From 100m out?) But then an excellent tackle stopped her."
"Actually it looks like it hit her boot... pretty harsh decision."
"Yep, it was an excellent tackle! And you can't expect the umpire to see that it hit her boot, there were too many players in that contest."

Sure, why not?

Agree to a degree. I think there were 4 really bad umpiring decisions that hurt Adelaide today: 2 play-on calls in the 3rd, and Ponter getting shoved in the back after two kicks to nobody in the forward line.

3 of them involved horrible skill/decision errors from Adelaide players though. The correct thing for a coach/senior players to do there is to have players forcus on their own game first.
