You do you but I'm not repeating the "Chayce Jones cycle of disappointment" this year.
I'm a Jones supporter, as some know .....i've stuck fat and lauded the potential of Pedlar from day dot ....it was simply a matter of time ...and year 3 isn't a long wait

However, can't say Ned has my same admiration

As I get older and slightly more bitter and twisted I find hope in that the only mention or sight of McHenry is in a boat - I never hope for anyone to fail but I also hope the coaches can see that we have better options, and for him to play 50 AFL games is an incredible achievement and has helped pay for a boat so fish on son and go hard in the SANFL!

I mentioned this as a potential ruck pairing in earlier threads

Would potentially make us more dangerous

Does rely on Elliot and TT taking next step as forwards and rucks

At least might put pressure on ROB

No chance it will happen this year. The reason they set up that way in match sim is so that the relief rucks are practising against AFL size rucks at every contest.

Does he have it in him to flip his game on its head and rejuvenate himself as a modern day midfielder.

Cheap possessions with no impact and little to no defensive game won't see him play AFL again IMO.

Should be in his prime so an interesting watch this year.

For a player that has no impact he's never finished worse than 4th for team score involvements since 2017 other than 2021 when he didn't play at all.

fxxkn brilliant.. softening us up for another 12 -15 rounds of the big “guns” crouch, Sloane, laird and Keays in our midfield.. the worst midfield combo in the comp.
then finally trying something different in the last 5 or so rounds when it yet again fails..

with talented youth like soligo, berry, shoes and Pedlar fighting over the scraps..

If so, bottom 5 finish a lock.

The Adelaide crows… the rear-vision mirror club.

Yeah think you’re right

Who knows they may be forced to do it at some stage if injuries and it could come off but only if TT and Himmelberg improve significantly , would be a nice weapon

Not sure Seed is on selection

A 2017 version Matt Crouch. Sure.
2022? No thanks.
The 2017 game was a different game so even a 2017 version of Matt would still be shit.

midfielders cannot be simply big, slow, mediocre skilled, accumulators in the game.. unfortunately our club has been obsessed with them for the past 5 years when the rest of the comp has moved on..

And the results speak for themself..

Have you not noticed the utterly baffling selection decisions our selection team has been making over the past few seasons?..

wouldn’t surprise me in the least to hear the morons are taking their selection idea’s from the general vibe of player and media tweets!..

Ok so a score involvement is described as follows:

'Number of scoring chains where a player was involved with either a disposal, hitout-to-advantage, kick-in or knock-on. If a player has two disposals in the same scoring chain, he is credited with one score involvement.'

I think in Matt's case that is a misleading stat to measure his effectiveness. Last year he averaged 27 touches a game but only 244m gained.

So he averaged less than 10 metres per possession.

But stats don't tell the full story for Matt's game. He has a habit of calling for the ball when he is not in the best position to pad out his stats.

He would have to change his game completely as the game has changed

No need to jump at shadows at this point given he wasn’t best 22 for a long portion of last year

Don’t mind Seed giving him some public support , won’t be Seeds tweet that gets him selected

Nicks likes you as a player as long as you run, run, run. Its why keays still gets a game. He'll bring in pedlar and stick him in a forward pocket. Whereas any other normal coach would drop a mid for another mid.

Don’t reckon Nicks is the only coach in the league that values midfielders being able to run

It’s the way the game has gone , you’re shot without it

Pedlar will eventually play some mid if he gets his endurance up and becomes more durable

For now would love to see his dynamic play in forward half

Was he still ruining Chayce Jones or has he cooled off a bit from that?
So first the forwards coach ruined him, then the mids, then the back line coach?
Really unlucky that Chayce bloke.
