The big MLB teams have a payroll of close to $400 million AUD. The BBL salary cap is $1.9 million AUD lol.

Cricket is a big sport but only because of India. Without India it's only marginally less pissant than AFL.
So what's Baseball without the USA? the Japanese and a few Cubans?

IPL teams have a salary cap of close to $25 million USD. Excluding finals each team plays 14 games. In MLB each team plays 162 games. The highest 0layer pay roll in MLB last year was the Yankees with nearly $252 million (lowest was Baltimore with $43 million). So even the Yankees are paying out just over $1.5 million per game, compared to an IPL Franchise paying out $1.7 million per game.

I worked at a servo when I was 17 and something similar happened. I didn’t see it in action but this woman comes in and explains that the nozzle “wasn’t in properly” and sure enough she’s dumped 40 litres on the ground. Then she asks if she still has to pay for it lol. Yes, yes you do.

I love how defensive Aussies get about cricket 😂😂. It’s the one thing they’re consistently good at I guess.

The defensiveness shows they ‘know’.

I think most aussies would rather us suck at cricket sometimes as the personalities involved don't deserve to be constantly winning, but eh.

There's nothing worse than the faux superiority one feels when following a big American sport, but one that's only big in America. It isn't worldwide, it's just the perveance of their media machine in the last hundred years. Gridiron and Baseball are not a lot without the base in the states, Basketball and Ice Hockey are bigger internationally. Rugby is bigger all over the world, and the best Rugby country is New Zealand. Most places in the world have cities bigger than their whole country.

Wait, don’t boats with outboard motors generally have fuel tanks, like, close to the outboard motor? How does this even happen.

See.

I pretended to like it for awhile when I went through the obligatory american sports are cool phase, I think it passed when I realised most of the big hitters were juicers.
That was the only interesting part of the game I went to. Mets v Giants. Barry Bonds was playing for the Giants and the Mets crowd gave it to him every time he batted.
