Definitely interested to watch Caminiti today, let's hope he does well. You'd have to excuse him for a relatively low fitness base being new to the system and all, but I will certainly keep an eye on how much he plays and when he's cooked. If he goes alright today could be a shot at the round one team outa nowhere.

Sharman the other one who hopefully can show something today, clunk a few marks up forward and slot a couple home. And wouldn't surprise me at all today to see Jack Higgins get involved in a few snags, though that may be a bit trickier with the wildly varying forward setups we're likely to see.

Let's see what the Cordacious has got!

AFL has stopped the pre-season cup, interstate competition, post season comp, exhibition games ... nearly everything outside the home and away season.

Wouldn't be surprised if we see these pre-season practice games gone by next season too.

Played sport all my life, including football and still undertake risk pastimes for the adrenaline rush. But these pre-season games are not worth the risk to our players and it proves nothing...

Tell me what we gained from the Melbourne game other than a media nosebleed and an injury to one of our best players.
I believe the more the better to work on game plan and work through the list of players to see what roles they can play , basically work out what your running with before round one.
Playing against your own list and Sandringham players doesnt cut it.

The Dogs having been wanting key backmen and forwards yet the let him go , so my expectations of Cordy are no high.

Then you should know the importance of match fitness that you can only get through playing matches funnily enough. Preperation is absolutely key in good performance and inury reduction during the season and I would absolutely be surprised if the pre-season games were gone.

But i meam sure, all the clubs in Australia playing aussie rules must be wrong to engage willfully in pre-season matches.

Bruce has been training in defence this pre-season, I think he becomes their backup defender. He said in an interview he saw the squeeze for positions to play forward coming, so elected to train as a back. Be interesting to see how he goes as he was horrible for us when playing in defence. Now they have Jones, Keith, Gardner - Bruce might struggle to get a game.

RTB rolled up to round 23 game of the 2013 season and dropped 75% of his team because the game meant nothing. Plus he didn't want to risk injuries. You can see how much he cares for games that have little influence.

Lets not forgot this pre-season fluff

Australian cricket team now goes to India and has no practice matches.

Man U are playing less and less friendlies.

Keep it all in-house until Round 1 I say. Keep the mystery, limit the injuries ... build the hype.

He new what he had and had a game plan , different story here - coaches would want to get there team together to see how the style of game would look like. imo

Winning a trail means nothing , but cohesion is a must and if they don't have it with a new game plan - problems.

VFL sides played at The Hangar Essendon won by 20 points - 63 - 43, not surprising with the amount of AFL listed players Sandringham would have had available.

Scum Twos had nine AFL-listed or ex-AFL players.
