So fellow unlucky victims of this crap club where does this week rank in the “ s**t week to be a Freo fan “ list of 1500+ weeks of this long running comedy

Top 10 ?

Top 5 ?
Can’t remember most of the others
Have erased them from my memory as a coping mechanism

LDU, Simpkin and Cunnington isn't a trash midfield, it's actually a damn good midfield.

LDU is fast becoming one of the best mids in the comp
Clarko is getting the most out of that list. Ditto Lyon with the Saints. In fact, to put some things into perspective, JL was outcoached by the two best coaches of the past 15 years who were both back from a break and completely refreshed.

Those are both games we should have won, and if our coach isn't up for that challenge we are in trouble.

Cunnington is finished and Simpkin is very average, damn good is an overestimate
Simpkin very average? Definitely disagree with that, he's quite good.

Cunnington is understandably slowing down, but he's still effective in the middle.

Damn good is fairly accurate, considering LDU is projecting to be one of the best clearance mids in the comp.

People massively overrate our midfield, massively.

Simpkin can get the ball sometimes, but he’s a very similar player to Worpel and struggles to hit any target

North will phase him out of that midfield once Phillips and Wardlaw are sufficiently fit this season

Fwiw I don’t think our midfield is crash hot either

Edit: WC beat them in centre clearances, I expect either of them won’t beat too many teams

Interesting, I don't think he's an A grade midfielder for whatever it's worth either, but I'd take him in a heartbeat, I rate him.

I am very surprised Clarko isn't playing Phillips, but sticking with Greenwood. I get he's got a big body, but Greenwood is s**t now

That is some fine perspective. Let’s see if after round six or seven we can use this as hindsight 😎

Ross lyon on the desk on 360 with wheatley.

Fued must be over.

He refused to deal with Gerard after he walked out on St Kilda for freo.
I’d say either time in the media has given him an insight into how you need to mine controversy in order to keep your job, or that part of the contract with St Kilda is that he can’t refuse media appearances.

After Whateley said Lyon didn't have integrity after he joined Fremantle after St Kilda put off contract extension talks during the season.

And following that Whately left the ABC for the big bucks at SEN I believe

What kind of money would SEN guys be on? I’d be surprised if Hutchy is paying the likes of Sarah Olle, Cam Luke, Sam Edmund, Tom Morris etc very much.
Whateley is one of his marquee men so he’s be getting plenty I guess

So when in 26 Australians is now a pies supporter?

They're doing well but not that well 😅

Pretty sure they're saying that over 1 million people are members of all 18 clubs combined, not Collingwood.

That is exactly what they are saying. Even ragging on them for having 1m fans is staggering. In a country of 26m people where a 3rd of that 26 follow a different sport, Collingwood having 1m fans would be next level insanity.

JVR making his debut this week. Comparisons with Amiss will be inevitable
