Man seriously....

Its like he's deliberately not trying, just to stick it up the team he is playing for. He could have nailed both the players in the two vids I've seen of him walking. Maybe his calves really are ****ed cos that just seems ... its beyond lazy cos they are so close he can touch them.

Just had a look through Port’s draw for the rest of the season and I have them at about 8 wins (could be fewer if they self-implode after Kenny’s inevitable sacking). Over the past two seasons, clubs with 8 wins have finished either 13th or 14th. If everything works out then we’ll have picked up Wardlaw and a pick #5 or 6 for JHF. You’d take that any day of the week.

Many of the Poorta dlelie fans are talking about his age and his feet operations and he shouldn’t be judged too harshly. The willingness to apply pressure, chase etc when you don’t have the ball comes down to his internal work ethic and resolve. These hand brakes and lack of chasing has been a pattern for over a season. We all saw it repeatedly. The defensive side of his game is putrid. Would be quite a dilemma for a coach.

I recall seeing someone run with a gait like that before. It was Cliff Young. At 60+ years old, wearing gumboots and 600Km into an ultra marathon.

But Cliffy didn't give up.

On the port board apparently he was sensational lol there was multiple times were he gave no second efforts during the game.

He is like a protected species from any criticism. It’s strange.

They obliterated two drafts to get him at a time they seem far off finals. He's also a local hero. If it doesn't work out it could burn them for a decade.

The saddest thing for me is seeing Zak Butters become the whipping boy there. He's got no role, they brought in another mid and another forward and will be pushing to get those two decisions to work out.

I’ve never seen anything like it from a kid.

What I find incongruent is his profile in his draft year and what we've seen since being drafted. I recall hearing about this mature, loyal, hard-working, professional, leadership in spades, who was cherry ripe for the next step. Yet, on evidence, he's none of those things. And even though he's talented, it can't be said that he's set too many games alight either.

Obviously North demanded more from him, the media are all over his 'efforts' and surely so is Port. But if anything, he's getting worse. With us he raised red flags with his body language, then it was straight out petulance and now it looks like he just DGAF. From the example from last night it looks like he thinks about trying, but then consciously decides not to.

I wonder how much he enjoys playing footy at this level.

Has millions locked in already. Probably start trying in 5 or so years.

Was he that bad at North? I was quick to doubt him but I can't recall that in his early games.

His effort was really poor at times with us, it just wasn’t highlighted externally until he started to show the really bad attitude.
The area I thought he had the most to learn was at stoppages, his positioning was terrible with us.

As the good man Stuart Cochrane said, they’re flaky af and don’t deal with pressure. Internally or externally.
And the pressure has arrived

That fyi is grand news for us.
