Nah difference is Serong has been leading by example and best on field since round 1. You always see him communicating on the field, congratulating players when they perform, being vocal etc. You cannot get more obvious captain material right there. I am convinced people want Bae as captain because he is arguably a better player (just not this season).

Caleb Serong is one of the best people the club has drafted in regards to self determination and dragging his team mates along. I watch him very closely all game to see his body language, mannerisms, interactions. He will drop his head when something goes wrong, his shoulders flop a touch and then it's like the little goblin shoveling goal into his steam engine kicks in and he stands up straight - goes straight to the nearest player and gives them a supportive rev up.

He motivates himself by motivating his team mates.

His mum must be THE proudest woman. I make a point of mentioning it around my son all the time, look at Serong being such a supportive team mate and he responds "SONNY WALTERS"

Exactly! I love Brashaw but if we make it to a GF, I would want Serong leading them through the banner. Type of guy you would follow into war and give everything for.

Cherry on top was my bro giving Lobb a very vocal spray and he looked up and smiled at us 😍 I'm in love

You know when you're about to fall asleep and that little voice talks to you and says "remember when you said to your mother when you were seventeen that you don't have to grow up to turn out like her but now you're slowly becoming her more and more every day? good night Taylor"?

That's the goblin. Your little motivation monster inside you.

I can kinda relate. My wife's body is turning into her mother's body. Except it's more of a hefty ogre than a little goblin. 🤔

Take more romantic hour long walks in the evening to talk and daydream together about things you could go and do, go and see. Use the time to connect away from technology and get your 10,000 steps in. Come home and shower together.

Next caller.

It will be interesting to see how he goes this week. Has been a D- performer at best this year.

Those giving him an out will not have it this week given who we are playing.

Watch especially the first quarter when the game is hot and in the balance for his fumbles and mistakes.

If the Hawks get the ball out of the middle with ease, Lewis will tear him a new arse.

The only thing that may save us is Lewis' goal kicking...been a little wayward

**** this for a game of soldiers. Sure, Moose has been travelling like a, well, like a tranquilised moose, on roller skates, in a revolving barrel of marbles, but I am backing him in.

In his soul, where he lives, he's the stud standing quietly at the bar at the Orient Hotel, pulling all the cool backpacker chicks and having unbelievably ornate sex while the rest of the crew are spewing on their shoes and wondering where the car is.

He is having a rough trot at the minute but he is destined to come good. The Universe is testing him because even it thinks it's unfair that his eyebrows are that way. But he will triumph.

Tomorrow night. In the rain. On some slippery Western Australian turf that turns to grease when it's wet. That will suit a man who hasn't felt anything below his knees in years. Everyone else is going to reenact the cabin scene from A Night at the Opera, but Moose will think he's on solid ground.

I attended, watched and thought Alex was good tonight but I expect that your focus will be on the slightest error he makes. Thats the way you roll.
Nothing like disloyal supporters who think they are football experts.

I thought Moose was very good today. Only getting caught out when we turned it over in our defensive half and he was rightly moving to get involved in ball movement.

And when he was involved it was mostly between half back and wing so the long kick option was almost an inside fifty anyway.

I thought he was pretty good today to very good. I will give credit where it is due.

I hope for the sake of the team he is turning a corner. The next two weeks will be a far sterner test. Fingers crossed.

I thought we moved the ball slower when he came on. I’m not sold that he would be as effective at the start of a game, compared to halfway through the third quarter when everyone else is starting to fatigue. I’d still play him as a tactical sub.

Are you a football expert or an Alex fan boy?

He was good tonight against below average forwards and mids compared to him getting slaughtered most weeks.

They're a non Freo supporter calling lifelong Freo supporters disloyal because they got their feelings hurt. Quite brave of them to come on here and tout that shit a few times now.

What Fyfe did well is use his body well to create space. We were smashed in the centre for 2 and a bit quarters. Even in the last we drew more even. Fyfe got his body in the road and had a couple of deft touches to get Brayshaw and Serong going. Hopefully Fyfe can play a role like Mundy. But I like the mix between forward and mid - especially centre clearances. He really just needs to string about 5 full games (not incl. sub games). Hopefully he gets that chance now. Last season played about 6-7 games and n the middle of that run had an injury and then the late season hamstring. He looked a bit rusty but I felt he moved better than round 1 (obviously hampered) and moved better than a number of games played last year.
