Jlo says he will maintain his forward position but will rotate him through the midfield. Literally nothing has changed and this was the plan all along.

I suppose he only lasted half a game up forward but Fyfe will last all of two seconds being back in the midfield. It also doesn’t work with JOM and Brodie in there. Like gaskin said, he’s also not the player he was before, he’s lost a step in pace and touch. It’s bad in there at the moment so maybe it works but I doubt it works for long

Jlo has said he will play forward but rotate through the midfield. That was always the plan. The odd rotation through the midfield will be fine but the coach needs to prioritize Johnson and Ras. Forget about trying to win and salvage your career, just play those two.

What you describe as definitive, I prefer to see as authoritative. To be clear on Fyfe, he has clearly been a champion and I hold him in high regard as a person and a leader. But I think he is very close to the end as a player and champions shouldn’t spend much time as role players.

Ha, yes, it‘s a call. I don’t foresee Fyfe playing any sort of regular footy for Freo in 2024, either because he’s retired, is with a rebuilding side or is too broken to get on the park. I trust it’s not because he’s playing at Peel. I would, of course, be very happy to get this call wrong and to see him burn it up and garner 14 Brownlow votes.
