I reckon if I was a resident unsure of the proposed development and read some of the comments on here it’d make up my mind for me pretty quickly.

Every development is a battle against residents no matter what

Heck getting back to Unley Oval was a battle

So we even have to listen to the residents or are we just doing it to be nice?
Yeah, I think we do have to listen to residents as the WT council will want to keep as many residents as possible happy.

If we do the right thing and accommodate residents' feedback as much as we can within reason, then the council will be able to reject demands of a relative small number of nimbys with unreasonable demands and approve our proposal.

If we are seen to be arrogant and the majority if residents turn on us, then we'd be in strife with that development.

Didn’t know that.
He was a local resident and led the protest against us returning. Car parking on match days, fences/access to the oval etc

The temporary fences we have to take down and put up every single home game are a leftover from the negotiations with residents

Get ready for more shenanigans

They are now trying to argue that a handful of trees are "World War 1 Commemorative Trees". No further info, just an accusation based on google searches and a hunch. But expect this to get legs.

These commemorative trees that no one knows are there in a park that no one uses is meant to stop this development apparantly.

Its on the agenda for tonight's council meeting. Hopefully the council bat this away.
