Us having the bye first up at the same time as the MSD is perfect timing. Gives him a little time to acclimatise. Prob play reserves next week and push up to league thereafter.
Have we ever had a mid season draft selection play a game for Freo? From memory O'Reilly played a game in a dead rubber a few years back.

Nah O'Reilly never played a game. To be fair Ethan Stanley is only the third player we have taken in the draft. O'reilly and Kuek were and are project talls which have a pretty low hit rate in general I imagine. O'Reilly was probably a bit unlucky that we drafted him the one time in our history we had too many tall forwards, McCarthy, Hogan, Lobb, Tabs and Cox(Who was playing forward at the time.) So we played him as a defender and he wasn't so good there.
I don't even remember O'Reilly playing that game, Freo have avoided the MSD except for him from memory? I like the selection - bit of a project player but could really thrive under our coaching/fitness/etc system
Nah we haven't we've used it 3 times for O'reilly, Kuek and Stanley, none have played

Oreilly was terrible. His kicking at training was poor and he wasn't very agile.
Kuek is a work in progress and might get a game.
Stanley hasn't even arrived yet so let's give him a go first.
He was at the game on Sunday and was siiting in front of me with Bob Murphy as his escort
