You can’t make this up. Degoey brings attention to himself no doubt. But comparing the coverage of the two is laughable. I haven’t heard a peep about it.

Same can be said for the coverage of Pickett involved in Extremely serious offending, jordy in a bathrobe gets more coverage

Yeah, Pickett is alleged to have stolen $380K, amongst other assorted serious criminal acts.
Jordy collected a WC player high and got suspended.
But Jordy was hung, drawn and quartered by the media.

Opposition supporters were just as scathing of JDG's bump too.

Every week you see the same people commenting on how the AFL has gone soft, they're never watching footy again when another player gets reported & suspended for a high bump & dangerous tackle

..but when JDG gets reported for a high bump, oppo supporters are calling it the worst thing they've ever seen & bringing up every single controversy from his off field past.

My heart is in my mouth every time one of our players tackles or bumps now. It's made one of the most enjoyable parts of the game anxiety inducing for all the wrong reasons.

I think they are both bad. Media def go harder on certain players like jordy. The hypocrisy is what I’m tired of.

You can bet coaches and players are now looking at how to draw these types of tackles and accentuate them, all to get a free kick.
