It’s seems paradoxical

My only argument would be that as a boxer you are willingly entering the ring in the knowledge that your opponent is not only allowed to smack you in the head but it is his intent

Other sports have contact to the head as a risk but it is either outside the rules or an unavoidable consequence of some actions. It is never the actual purpose of the sport
