Oh yay I get a tax bill this year instead of a refund 😭
lol it's a bit of a roll of the dice. I always try to make sure i'm ontop of whatever i'm claiming which are linked to income thresholds. Stuff like child care subsidies, private health rebates etc. They give you discounts during the year based on expected FY income. If you creep over the brackets that are set you'll get a bill for sure.

LMITO finito caught a lot of people out - anything up to $1500 difference from the previous FY. Also, people with savings started receiving (relatively) meaningful interest for a change, which they wouldn't have paid tax on.
