200cm+ and is versatile is the selling point. I think he is better forward than ruck and could turn out something like a poor man's Peter Wright. Depending where clubs rate their players but i'd jump at the chance to rookie him.
I thought that last year in terms of nice versatility but to quote your good self, I haven't seen any real development in the 12 months. Jury massively out on him for me, and currently it's a no from me. Hopefully goes back to colts or reserves and plays predominately forward to show he can be a good fwd option.

Monocle raised Evan Smith a few weeks back, and since watching the champs delayed he has stood out for versatility. He could be a nice rookie selection.

Rudd from VC is the other, less versatilely but great lead up forward and sticky hands. Another solid later pick option.

He’ll just stay with us if the Swans start talking 2nd rounders for him
Would be a very cheap and cheeky offer.

If we are set on selling him, and he wants to go, we should be able to get a better offer than this.

How many top shelf KPD’s at the peak of their powers are there on the market?

Ultimately if we can be savvy with the cheap trades this year we can cut deeper and shore up our depth. I'd feel a lot happier with the likes of Fisher, Robertson, Garcia and Brockman as options on our list ahead of the Wests and Clarks of the world.
Trey ruscoe on the cusp of the 22 for Collingwood, fit and playing well in the vfl as a hybrid defender playing on talls and smalls , out of contract and we could demote rotham to the rookie list

I don't think Livingstone gets drafted at this stage, he's going to need to play purely forward for the rest of the season to show he can play forward to be a chance.
I know he kicked 6 recently in colts, but at the champs he wasn't great.

Hopefully he's being 'hidden' for good reason.

A Q Stick type would really compliment Oscar and Maric who are shorter but more agile.

A mean pack crashing beast is exactly what we lack.

Smith has good ground skills and moves very well .

Sure. My point is that you can't get a more unrepresentative season for exposing the qualities of our key defenders.

KPPs usually take 2-4 years to become consistent pros, rucks 4-6 years. If we draft any of those this draft, they won't help for a while. Doesn't mean you don't draft them, just know that today's problems aren't going to be fixed by drafting them.

Anyone who realistically believes we get a top 6 pick for him is delusional😂😂
At best we give something back and get :#12 from the dogs or #22 + #27 from Sydney
Didn’t Cal Twomey say he was worth Swans 1st and a 2nd? Also pretty sure I read Ralph say he was was worth 2 firsts or swans pick 6 as long as WCE pay significant salary. Your 2 2nd rounders seems a far cry from what they are suggesting….

There was people in the media saying Sydney's first two picks. I have him worth somewhere between 10 - 14. If Sydney have a better pick than 10 then potentially we have to give something back.

If all Sydney are offering is 2x second rounders, I'd suggest West Coast won't let him go.

Why? Dude's an A-grade key defender, contracted for multiple years.

There's no value for WC to trade a player of Barrass's calibre and age go for that sort of offer.

If Syd want him so bad that they're looking to pry him away while contracted, they're going to need to front up a top 10 pick or look elsewhere.

Delusional pearler from the Hawks board

Let us know how that works out for you guys 😂
Maybe I'm missing something with him, but he averages under a goal a game as a small forward. Not sure that's of any value when it comes to trades. In fact he's only kicked goals in 6 out of 12 games this year.

Just feel like we could pick up a similar level player off the rookie list. So wouldn't give anything more than a 4th rounder

U16 All Australian team is below.

We are so so ****ed. 11 of the 23 are from the QLD/NSW Academies.

Saw this earlier and thought the same thing, it's getting to a level now where it's probably too much. They need to apply the same rules across the board, all clubs can only match after 40 for academy. F/S to remain as is.

It's the logical thing to do, but i think they'll try and keep it as long as possible, mainly for GC and GWS.

Check out the Brockman thread on the D&T board.

I don't get it either

So you are saying not many if any picks lower than 35 will be used to match bids?
I expect them to be traded for later multiple picks that will be worth more points.

I expect Gold Coast to trade out their first round pick and two second round picks, for later picks worth more points.

I’d expect the Bulldogs to trade out their first round pick/s for multiple later picks, if Croft is bid on early’ish.

Bulldogs probably keep pick 35 for matching, unless a team trades a couple of late third rounders for it.

I don’t know where Cleary, tied to Sydney is potentially bid on. I can see Sydney trying to trade their two third round picks (currently 41 & 46) for one of Gold Coast’s second round picks, or they package up all their second and third round picks for GC’s first round pick and a fourth round pick.

That’s just my guess,

Most Hawks fans are realistic and realize they have no leverage, but some are just acting childish and melting about the possibility of losing him for less than his value and thinking he's worth pick 19 or more.

Only way the Suns don't need picks under 35 to pay for its nga kids is on draft night they trade out their 1st and both 2nds for a dozen picks over 35 or they go into deficit.

Can only take to the draft the number of picks you have list spots open. Then again could be a big cull at the Suns with a change of coach. However to date the feeling has been they won't be opening up 6 spots to go to the draft with.
That’s exactly what I expect to happen, and for teams to position themselves during trade period to be able to achieve this.
