Yashasvi Jaiswal. Remember the name, because you’ll hear a lot of it. Misspelled and mispronounced, usually, but we’ll be hearing it for a decade or more.

Looked very good. But I think it probably should be contextualised.

I could probably score 100 against the Windies at the moment.

England have recalled James Anderson for the fourth Ashes Test at Old Trafford.

The 40-year-old Lancashire seamer will feature on home turf as he returns to the team in place of Ollie Robinson, the only change to the side that defeated Australia at Headingley in the third Test.

England kept the Ashes alive in Leeds after Yorkshireman Harry Brook steered the hosts to victory with 75 runs before Chris Woakes and Mark Wood's match-winning partnership saw them over the line.

Ben Stokes' side are 2-1 down in the series with another must-win game on the line in Manchester.

Another tweak to the side sees Moeen Ali promoted to bat at number three, with Ollie Pope ruled out for the rest of the series.

Brook had originally occupied the vacant spot, but all-rounder Ali, who was dismissed for five while batting at three in the second innings, was unexpectedly promoted after asking head coach Brendon McCullum if he could bat there.

"When I took the role on I asked for 10 other selfless cricketers," England captain Stokes said post-match at Headingley.

"And that little moment of Mo going to Baz (McCullum) and saying, 'I want the opportunity' is everything that we're about as a team."

IIRC there was no requirement in Pakistani law to register a birth anywhere near the actual birth date until the last couple of decades. Would have been very easy to get some overage players eligible for underage cricket.

Stokes wants selfless cricketers. Obviously Foakes' selfish insistence on catching edges himself rather than giving first slip a shot counts against him.

Stokes just doesnt wanna be the worst looking ginger campaigner in the team. Should play for Melbourne and he'd never have to worry again.

I think Shaheed Afridi basically admitted to being a few years older. He definitely wasn't 16 or 17 when he hit that century in 1996.

Big call not naming a spinner but if the captain isn’t going to bowl him if you do, might as well add an all-rounder

Marsh to bat 6 with Green at 7

Bowl fast and at the stumps.
We've got the bowlers to do it.

England have got just one genuine quick. And in the last test he bowled fast and at the stumps. And we know what happened.

Don't get caught out as bowler after bowler and team after team has done in England. Short pitched stuff gets the odd wicket but in England more than anywhere else you pitch the ball up.
Get maximum movement in the air. Give the ball the best chance to get movement off the pitch.

Wood did us in test 3 doing just that. And we bowled badly when we had them 6 and 7 down in innings 4.

Let Hazlewood and Green and Marsh bowl at near maximum pace while keeping the ball pitched up. Let Cummins and Starc take advantage.

Play smart. Not dumb like we did last test.

And FFS, Davie Warner used (USED) to be an excellent opener. He's not any more. Better off with a new guy. Not as if he'll be any worse.
