Obviously in the Cummins case we need him to find his way to voluntarily stepping aside.
who takes over?
as much as smith would be better than cummins...sandpaper-gate and he wasnt our greatest captain either.
there really is no one who will still be in the team in 12-18mths.
Carey would be ok for a few years. But Cummins is a thoroughly uninspiring captain.

Head seems the most likely long-term. Not sure if captaining South Australia is a positive or a negative though.
If tomorrow and Sunday are pretty much rained out, you’d think Stokes would be declaring soon? No point having a 300 run lead and not enough time to bowl us out. Fingers crossed it absolutely pisses down for the next 2.5 days

Seriously doubt 2 full days will be lost to rain.
That's pretty much what people were saying during the last test.

I'm surprised it didn't happen 30-40 minutes ago.
I know we'll lose some time to rain, but there's still 8 sessions to go.
I think more runs now are irrelevant. Australia have to bat out today and whatever is played on Sunday. Weather will be bad and looks like no play tomorrow. Sunday play will be interrupted. We need at least 6 wickets in hand at close of play tonight. Maybe 5 will do. I think we will hold out.

There's 8 sessions left in the game. We have to get through at least 4 on the field with the bat in hand to ensure a draw.
We won't even lose 2 full sessions to rain in the wash up imo.
