Honest question, when did we last demote a captain?Cummins use of him in the third test was a vote of no confidence.
We need to get the captaincy off Cummins after this series. Has Head got any leadership credentials?

Yeah, forgot about that.wHEN HE ALLOWED A BLOKE TO GO OUT ONTO THE FIELD WITH A SQUARE OF SANDOPAPER FROM RECOLLECTION.
Obviously in the Cummins case we need him to find his way to voluntarily stepping aside.
Carey would be ok for a few years. But Cummins is a thoroughly uninspiring captain.who takes over?
as much as smith would be better than cummins...sandpaper-gate and he wasnt our greatest captain either.
there really is no one who will still be in the team in 12-18mths.
It gives you a solid grounding in choking.Head seems the most likely long-term. Not sure if captaining South Australia is a positive or a negative though.

Seriously doubt 2 full days will be lost to rain.If tomorrow and Sunday are pretty much rained out, you’d think Stokes would be declaring soon? No point having a 300 run lead and not enough time to bowl us out. Fingers crossed it absolutely pisses down for the next 2.5 days
I'm surprised it didn't happen 30-40 minutes ago.Seriously doubt 2 full days will be lost to rain.
That's pretty much what people were saying during the last test.
The declaration shouldn't be far away though.
I know we'll lose some time to rain, but there's still 8 sessions to go.I'm surprised it didn't happen 30-40 minutes ago.

Nah can't be more than 2 down at stumps today. Can't rely on the weather to play ball with the luck England has had so far.I think more runs now are irrelevant. Australia have to bat out today and whatever is played on Sunday. Weather will be bad and looks like no play tomorrow. Sunday play will be interrupted. We need at least 6 wickets in hand at close of play tonight. Maybe 5 will do. I think we will hold out.

Just has to miss the ground. The weather forecast for Manchester could be spot on but we're playing cricket at Old Trafford.Have a look at the forecast.

I'll assume Saturday is lost to rain but Sunday is near enough a full day.
Got to bat normally, pass their lead, then add enough that they can't chase it down on Sunday.
Tall order from here.
Maaaarge!
